RPG Maker variables... HELP
Ok, I really need to know how to use variables efficiantly. Now here's the thing, I understand 100% what a variable is. I just don't know how to use it.
Let's start with imput number. Say that you store the number 5 in variable 0001. You then want someone to say "You're number is variable 0001. You know... so he says whatever is the number you picked. If you picked 4 he'd say, you're number is 4, if you pick 2, he says you're number is 2. etc. The biggie. Variable operations, I'd really appriciate it if someone could explain this whole event in DETAIL. Thank you so much. |

Right, this is fairly simple. When you want to change the variable, just have a random event, like, say, talking to a townsperson, increase it by 1. This is useful for stuff like "You've killed X monsters" or "You've thrown X FFR members in a well." You also use variables for hit points and other stats in custom battle systems, which are fairly complex.
