Windows 7 for FFR
How is Windows 7? Better than Vista? As good as XP?

Re: Windows 7 for FFR
Better than Vista, worse than XP.
It runs smooth aside from crammed up sections, on things like RATO the FPS will drop dramatically during the 48th walls and such. You can get through majority of FMOs without any problems though, I've even AAA'd a few on W7. I wasn't able to play well on 2x however, I just stuck to 1.75 and it was playable. Re: Windows 7 for FFR
What about on a desktop with quadcore 3GHz and 4GB RAM?
It seems like there would be a point where power overwhelms the inherent drawback of Vista/W7 |

Edit: overlooked something, it's not a quad core, but still. Rubix has said that FFR doesn't run that well on his computer either and his is the most optimized thing I've ever seen lol.

Re: Windows 7 for FFR
yea i might be getting windows 7 im sure it will run fine
use this and close any programs you don't need. i can get vista to not lag, but i still get vista goods by doing that.

Re: Windows 7 for FFR
yes, well, I think what Tera said would have to be the best answer. I do not have win7 yet but I have vista and on a laptop too and I got to say surprisingly it runs fairly well. I do not usually have to many problems with it though Id certainly say XP blows any OS away as far as microsoft goes with playing FFR. i am waiting for my free win7 disk to come in the mail so ill be able to tell if its faster or not pretty soon.

Re: Windows 7 for FFR
Windows 7 is better than Vista *obvious* but XP does not hiccup when it comes to rhythm and flash games

Re: Windows 7 for FFR
I'm using Windows 7 64-bit on a x2 3800+. Switching to windows basic or classic theme (no aero) greatly reduced lag for flash in general. That said, XP is as good as it gets FFR performance wise.

Re: Windows 7 for FFR
I was about to buy Windows 7 soon but this thread has given me second thoughts. (I currently use XP)
