I know there's not really a reason for people to recognize me but I feel like making a thread regardless. In just about a month of not really playing I have skill dropped hard. I've gone from being placed in D3 for the official tourney to regularly missing FCs on 9s and being basically incapable of FCing 10s, and I'm really just too frustrated to want to try catching back up now.

It's been a good 4+ years of on and off playing, proud of the few half decent FMO scores I managed to get the last few months while I was playing well and I made it to < 500 avrank which was an achievement for me, but I think I'm done now. Might check back in to see how I fare in the new tier point system when it gets implemented, but I doubt I'm going to be playing anymore. Good luck to all, so long and thanks for all the fish etc

They always come back. Even the ones that say they're definitively leaving, and you're saying 'I think I'm done' :P

taking a break is actually a good way to recover from a skilldrop provided you actually take the time to play after your break

This does work... for some people. Not sure if it works for all but it works for me hehe.

Step 1: Take a break.
Step 2: Return after said break.
Step 3: Whore the heck out of FFR recovering from skill loss.
Step 4: Profit (end up with more skill then you had before the break and lose a lot of mindblocks you previously had on songs)

Thats how it worked for me.

For me it always went...
1. Whore FFR or SM
2. Quit for 2 days.
3. Skill boost.

OP, push yourself and you'll get better.

more like quit ffr and step files for months come back whore and get better
