Re: The Speedrunning Thread
It came to my attention that they never actually said "twenty three thousand, four hundred fifty six" just "they donated "23456" so maybe it was actually $234.56
but you know. AGDQ |

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
thanks for all the donation comments guys, the reader dude was super quiet and I'm pretty focused during that game so I think I only heard one of them, but I'm reading them all now
when I was gonna go down to the practice room the elevator opened and controller head was inside, he stared at me so I just got in and the whole elevator smelled really strongly of alcohol and then he got out after I got in. lol |

i selfishly wanna see peak viewership during SM lol. That's probably not gonna happen bc cosmo's run so gotta shoot lower and say at least 100k viewers !!!

I'm a little disappointed pheenoh didn't get more viewers. TP is a pretty interesting run and Pheenoh is one of the most knowledgeable in that game

Decided to randomly join and Super Meat Boy is about to start c:
Edit: Wow, Misty destroyed the race. Might've been sub-20 if he didn't mess up at Dr. Fetus.

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
Really disappointed in that super meat boy race. I was really looking forward to it too but it seems like they didn't really give much time for Vorpal to warmup and/or practice on the computer he was using? Vorpal dying doing the swag strats on the first boss was the stupidest thing I've ever seen in a marathon race, but it is actually pretty well known that those swag strats don't work at certain resolutions, I'm surprised that Vorpal didn't know that.
The crash was just icing on the cake :/ |

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
Yeah, I was pretty upset with his computer crashed, that's when I knew the race was pretty much over and everyone was just most likely watching Misty at this point. I can't imagine what it's like to have your game crash during a race in front of that many people.
Pumped for the DK64 race, another one of my favorites. Still wondering why Sig's not doing 120 star this year. Or just SM64 in general. Not sure why so many runs changed this year x:

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
I think sig doesn't like doing marathon runs, he just likes grinding attempts and practice

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
Just got to see the smb race. Super gutted Vorpal had the technical problems he did and the race was basically over from hospital. Such psched my bro had a fairly good run with keyless first try and perfect larry RNG (he is well known for getting awful larry luck and got a 20 cycle at ESA). If he hadn't choked on fetus and the start of chad it could have easily been sub 20. Still solid run for a marathon as meat boy is punishing to run.

That's the dude that did Kirby's Adventure right? Good riddance! I couldn't stand him at all. I stopped watching after like 15 minutes x.x

Yeah, that's the duder. Apparently, during that run, he was intoxicated. That explains a lot of things really, hahaha.

Oh then I did see it.
Cool. This evening, Diddy Kong Racing was way more awesome than I expected. Really enjoyed that run.
