I can understand why CP isn't on the list, but I still think Scarhand should be included (as well as HWG and Metro if either were under consideration of being removed)

Even if some token songs seem somewhat ridiculous to unlock, their relative difficulty compared to other unlocks is completely subjective from player to player considering FFR has anti-skill reqs. I can guarantee there's probably a few people on here that think Nanairopanda v2 is a more difficult unlock than Scarhand, but it's most likely going to be a TP song

Gotta agree with OWA, as far as I'm concerned the more the better and having skill token/token unlocks doesn't really bother me, it's just something else to shoot for.

We never actually thought about adding bonus Tier Points into the system but it definitely sounds interesting. Will add that in the suggestions section in a bit.

Basically what we wanted to do was to only include the skill tokens that were easy to unlock because we assumed that the overall community would not like the idea of having "hard unlocks" be added into the TP system. It seems like some of you guys do not mind that at all so we will definitely keep that in mind. In the end though, the community will still have final say on the song choices so I would not worry. (:

It is possible but we are not going to add it into this TP system because of what we have stated in the FAQ. However, if velocity decides to make FFR be based by raw scoring then yeah, we would be HAPPY to make that our base in the TP system.

@Velocity: If you make that happen then I would be happy to make the TP system be based off raw scoring.

It's just bonus points. If you have 90% of the AAAs, you'll get 90 of the 100 bonus points (in our system). So yeah, you'll be missing a handful of points by not having EVERYTHING AAA'd, but you're missing points by not having RATO and DP (the hardest songs in the list) AAA'd anyway.

If we made tier point based off of raw scoring, it would be fairer, since it uses real skill and not mashing ability. Scoring for ingame, etc will still remain combo-based as it always has. I'm just interested in how yall feel about raw scoring in general.

Basicly,
Keep combo scoring for ffr scores.
Raw scoring for tier points.

Combo scoring is still a skill; I wouldn't want to get rid of combo scoring completely.

We were thinking neither should be included. Personally, I feel token songs should only be in the list if everyone who could possibly get points on them would have enough FFR skill to unlock them. Scarhand definitely doesn't qualify for this, and I wouldn't say Nanairo does either.

Yeah, what the other guys said since I got 3 posts ninja'd in between me reading part of the thread and my last post. xD

Having Tier Points display your ability to PA songs rather than to mash them for combo seems far more skill-based. It also reduces the need for working out scaling up of numbers and such, since it'd just be based off of raw score.
