Re: So I'm going spread..
I can never seem to pull off spread. It just feels so awkward not feeling the back of my right index on my left index sometimes, and it really throws me off.

Re: So I'm going spread..
Easy trick to switching to spread...
Is don't.. Honestly, just because you don't feel like you're getting any better is because you've hit a stump. Just continue to try harder.. took me.. 3yrs to get to my current skill. You're speed will increase as you go. Not dramatically but it will slowly. If you want to switch to spread you can do so. I just suppose you don't. Amazing things are possible one handed trust meh xD I'm the best comboer left on FFR one handed. |

Re: So I'm going spread..
g3nesis, I can personally tell you from first hand experience that switching from an alternative spread isn't something that you'll master over night.
Good news is, you're serious about improving seeing as you've made the choice to switch to spread. Give it time. What I can honestly advise is that you make a new account.. strictly for spread this way you'll be able to proficiently keep track of your improvment with no old scores/records to beat. I personally use the asl; setup but anything along those lines should be good enough (so long as you're comfortable). I started off with dfjk then moved to askl then qwop and so on.. just mess around with it until you're comfortable. What I'm also going to advise is that you start playing songs all the way from for beginners and gradually work your way up. It may seem pointless but, it not only helps you, it boots confidence and allows you to closely spectate your progress. FFR is all about muscle memory, you'll simply have to start over but, if you're serious enough about it, you can and will improve. Give it a month, that's what I did. I promised myself a month of straight spread, and if I didn't get used to it, I'd switch back. Now I can't imagine playing any other way. So, good luck with your transformation of playing style. |

Re: So I'm going spread..
Man I really appreciate all the tips and thought some of you have put in to it but I'm just going to keep it 1 handed. I was just having one of those "wish I could play an amazing song" days.
Didn't realize it was still going |
