Go for it.
Whether or not people agree with his actions and views, I believe he was a good leader.
I personally think his actions were terrible, but I can respect his abilities to persuade people to agree with his point of views and his ability to climb political ladders. He also was able to control his army. Something even America can't always say. So, if you look at it from the aspect of sheerly respecting his political abilities, I fail to see how it is a bad thing to name your child this.

true but being associated with someone who had tons of people killed at will just for their beliefs. his life going through school is going to be hell.

No cake for Hitler. Also, was I the only one to immediately have the lil' Hitler sketch from robot chicken pop into their head after reading this?

I feel so bad for the kids. This kind of things just blows my mind.

Like Lump said, most people aren't going to be like "Oh Hitler rose up to be chancellor of Germany and persuaded everyone to follow him cool". They are most likely going to be thinking "Wtf why is this kid being named after the person who directed the group that was responsible for Holocaust"

You share a name with really good soup though. Remember that.

I like soup.

Oh, relevant to the topic: I predict a name change in this kid's future.

Yeah, at least I have that. And the jokes that come along with it, and names like soup boy/chicken noodle. >_<

ps: I eat like at least a can every week, but I usually home cook it.

@ topic: I think it's reallly idiotic for this couple to even name their child like this, whom if they want to support their beliefs, at least don't use a name as gigantic as Hilter... the child might with some chance not want to be involved in anything their parents believe, like quite a few of us. Even if the child is to reach adulthood and want a name change then, he/she will still be treated in the same fashion by those dispising Hilter for what he did. It's not fair =x

Beat me to it.

Although, with the way that this family sounds, the kids won't care by the time they get that age. In fact, they'll probably wear it like a badge.

Wait, where is this again? Ah, USA. Although his parents may hold a certain viewpoint, the children may also be influenced by what they hear in school, so they may come to hate the name too.

Yeah, but learning takes place in the home before in the school. So if they get 5 years of 'this is okay, this is right' by the time they get to school, it may already be too late. I guess it'd be an interesting thing to research.

I actually ran into a couple in between Vegas and Flagstaff that were gonna name their expecting son Aryan. Maybe it's just like how Mexicans sometimes name a boy Jesus.

I'm afraid causing the ****ing holocaust kinda outweighs that =/.

If I had kids, I would name them Sargon and Nebuchadnezzar regardless of their gender. Would you **** with a kid named Sargon who wore an elaborate cape and copper plate to school? I think not.

Who let fido out of his cage...?

Anyways, I guess I'll make an on-topic post.

I'm actually not surprised that this happened. There are idiots like this everywhere. Surprise.

I think these parents have yet to realize how selfish they are. They deliberately named a child Adolf Hitler, and he will now more than likely be ridiculed his entire life - unless he goes to an all Aryan school, in which he will be the all-star quarterback of the Aryan football team (called the Gestapos), get straight As, and **** all of the Aryan cheerleaders.
