You can just drag him all the way across the track with his front foot, the hurdles don't really do anything.
Usually I use kind of a staggered WO - QP - WO -QP method that makes him power jog across the track.

Don't bother with the hurdles, no one ever really jumps them. They just run to the 50m mark and then drag themselves the rest of the way with their thighs or else struggle over the knocked over hurdles and keep running.
But the jump at the end, you can get a hurdle underneath ya legs and skate over the sand on the hurdle.

haha wrong i got over the hurdle, didn't drag it to the end or anything but yeah pretty much just dont worry about it if you cant jump it. lol
