what would you do
I have a friend who just got a death threat from some kid who thinks hes tough. He can apparently bench 250 pounds and hes a tough fighter. As for me I have boxed for 3 years, I have wrestling experience and I can bench 220 pounds(this is just a strength reference) Do you think I should let my friend deal with him or should I go try to kick his *** and risk getting in trouble.
I dont want any hateful comments, I'm just curious what other people would do in my situation. |

Re: what would you do
I can probably guess that the kid will not reason with you, but what did you friend do? You should help him out because I am sure that other kid will bring his friends.

Re: what would you do
There is no pride in fighting anymore, unless it is during a sport.
He WILL bring friends and he might bring a weapon, be careful. I know a lot of people who have had guns shoved in their face and I have seen it happen. I think its best if you guys just don't fight him because a death threat doesn't mean anything these days, think about how many people threaten each other in school and how many times it actually happens. |

Re: what would you do
he dyed his hair bright red and the other kid(bully in this situation) was picking on him and pushing him around and calling him names. The bully is just one of those people who messes with kids for no reason.

Stay away at all costs. If you want to be stupid, engage in fighting with the guy who gave the threat. Risking your life over some pride over an immature bully isn't wise. After all, a death threat is pretty extreme, isn't it?

It's just not worth it. The only fight I've ever gotten into my whole life (which resulted in my ass getting kicked...XD), I could have avoided by not even leaving my house. Plus, think of the legal repercussions if someone gets seriously injured.

Talk about his mother, he'll start to cry.
Also, stay away. He most likely won't do anything but play it safe.

Re: what would you do
everyone here is making some really good points, the thing is I want to stand up for what is right and I've gotten in some serious fights before cause it has come down to it.
I have only seen this bullys myspace, I have never seen him in person but to me he doesnt seem like the type of person to kill somebody in a fight. you never know these days but thats generally what druggies do in the ghetto, not highschool bullies. The thing is I'm really confident in my fighting ability so its not about me getting hurt, its about getting into trouble. also he is 17 and his mama's like a dorknob, everyone gets a turn Last edited by Jerry DB; 06-18-2008 at 01:59 AM.. |

Re: what would you do
Well he can be suspended for giving a death threat, but that might get your friend in more trouble with the kid. If the kid persists, I guess he could go to juvenile.

Re: what would you do
You never know what can happen. I advise you to stay away, even though some people don't mean it when they throw out death threats, it is NOT safe to walk in and try to fight them. I have gotten a knife pulled on me at school. That was not cool. I also almost got jumped. I haven't gotten in a fight since. Its best you not find out what that is like. Just ignore him if all he did was make fun of your friend. If you think it is a serious threat go to the police before someone gets seriously hurt or killed. You dont want to watch a friend die, or die yourself.
"The thing is I'm really confident in my fighting ability so its not about me getting hurt, its about getting into trouble." There will always be someone out there that is tougher than you, and no one is tougher than a gun. |

Re: what would you do
Tell your friend to change his hair back to normal, and dodge the kid for a while. If it was not serious than he will forget about it. If your friend does not want to change his hair back, the bully will easily spot him no matter where he is, and he is an idiot.
Also, link us to his myspace. We can spam him.

Better yet, tell him to shave his head. In all seriousness though, your best bet, no matter how good of a fighter you or any of your friends may be, is just to stay the heck away. Everyone will be better off for it, and he'll end up being the moron for picking on other people.

Re: what would you do
you guys are right, maybe I should just wait and see how far this kid goes before I act hastily. I just dont want my friend getting hurt, hes one of my best friends at that.
If the bully beats up my friend and leaves marks I can definately get help from police(although I dont like how police handle things sometimes) I just have no proof of his threats besides my friends word. Also everyone seems to think of this kid as a punk who picks fights with people so I fully believe it |

Basically the police showed up at my house and I described to the officer what happened, he took notes, had me make a written statement, and pretty much gave me a choice. It was either just let the whole thing go (because I had come out to meet them, meaning that I was prepared for a fight), or have all parties involved be processed through state law for all actions committed. I ended up choosing the former.

Re: what would you do
I don't know everything about the bully you're talking about, but IMHO, ledwix has sound advice which I would recommend in the general situation. Sounds applicable to and the best option for this scenario and your friend.
