Re: CBR Presents Omnicore 2
alright. I think an nsf might be easier to mix than a gameboy tune though, hopefully I'm right heh

Re: CBR Presents Omnicore 2
hey if someone can sing - or at least rap - in japanese at 160bpm (16th notes) hit me up. I have no problems pronouncing the lyrics in this song, but at this speed I'd have trouble even if they were in english :I
otherwise I'll just pick something else to submit, I have plenty of material lying around |

Re: CBR Presents Omnicore 2
Oh god... CBR Presents Vocaloid coming 2013
(not really) also, I think it'll be hard to find someone here on FFR who can knows japanese and can perform, especially at such high speeds. Vocaloid or other voice synthesizers (thats not the right term is it) might be needed, as suggested... Last edited by Coolboyrulez0; 12-13-2012 at 03:32 PM.. |

Re: CBR Presents Omnicore 2
ok so spoiling a bit it's a heavy metal arrange of Ura-Omote Lovers which is practically the only vocaloid song in history that actually sounds alright. the thing is, vocaloids kind of suck ass even when used in the environment they were originally designed for, and in the case of heavy metal or other more "extreme" music vocaloids really have no place at all no matter how you try to use them. saitama saishuu heiki's pretty damn good at using them (see wasure aka 忘れえぬ人を歌わせてみたら、違和感だらけで玉砕気味の曲) yet when he used hatsune miku in Faraway it still ended up sounding like absolute shit. I won't do it.

Re: CBR Presents Omnicore 2
If you can have a lead guitar act as the voice (odd wording, but you get what i mean) or completely leave it out I bet it will (still) sound wicked

Re: CBR Presents Omnicore 2
would it sound bad or be rly tedious if you spoke the lyrics slower, then chopped out downtime/sped up parts to get it at the right bpm?

I don't know, CBR wants stuff that's for the most part, has not yet been released to the public. You can, however work on something else and submit that.

edit: there's also the thing about me being a fucking terrible singer heh. I'll have to use autotuning which I'm not a huge fan of either. either way, I'll screw around with this idea for a while longer before I give up and do something else. |

Re: CBR Presents Omnicore 2
Yup, decided what to use for this myself. Hope you like Egyptian-sounding DnB from originally 2010.

Re: CBR Presents Omnicore 2
My song is finished in sequencing, but I have no access to good speakers at the moment so chances are; the mixing is terrible. I'll be submitting shortly after new years.

Re: CBR Presents Omnicore 2
Not to take sides but Visions of an Alternative Reality is still one of my favorites from the original comp, so I can rightfully say I'm excited to see what you came up with.
