Re: Future Token and Skill tokens
I think we need...
1) More "milestone tokens", for example, ONI. I know we have St. Scarhand for AAAing Reality, which is great. Nonetheless, it would be nice to have a "AAA a 12" token. I know this has been brought up before, but it generated a lot of argument because some people wanted it harder. The solution? Add 2. Have one for just AAAing a 12, then have another for AAAing a 90 or above (or something like that). On the easier side of things, we should have more milestone tokens down the difficulty line. Maybe we could have a set of songs like we do for HEAVY for every difficulty down to... maybe 6 or so? I think these kinds of tokens really motivate players to improve. I know for me ONI was a major help in getting me to play more FMOs. 2) Chain tokens, as stated several times already. However, I think we need more of a certain kind of chain token. For example, we could have a jumpstream chain. Ex: AAA Etude to a Dragon, Seven, Ambient Angels, K8107, and EHHS in a row. To really piss people off, you could throw Pants onto the end of that. Obviously the chains would be better with new songs each time, but this is just an example. Now this may be a terrible idea... but what if you had two or three different stages of mastery, i.e. AAA the chain, SDG the chain, and FC the chain that unlock three different difficulties (light, heavy, oni) of a song that utilizes that pattern? Anyway, regardless of what gets implemented I think doing SOMETHING in the realm of tokens is a positive thing. So keep at it

Re: Future Token and Skill tokens
Completely, 100%, DISAGREE!
The whole fun of skill tokens is trying to do some obscure whatever. If everything is just "AAA blah blah impossible hard song" what's the fun in that (other than for a very few)? Besides, skill tokens should be to make you try for things you're not already likely to try in the course of the game anyway. You anti-anti-pa people already have reward systems in place -- they're called AAA bar and Tier Points bar and level rank. Let the non-leet have something too. More achievement tokens gets a thumbs up from me too. |

Re: Future Token and Skill tokens
I voted for all. It would be nice to see more tokens be released with every new song release regardless of how difficult the requirement is. Also, I think it would be nice to have more normal tokens and event tokens on top of that!

Re: Future Token and Skill tokens
Oh and achievement tokens includes things like "x amount of AAA's" or "x amount of Tier Points" or "AAA these exact several songs" etc... So that's more the direction I would like to see the pure-pa kind of tokens go -- into achievement rather than skill tokens.
Skill tokens should stick with more just random kinds of things. |

Re: Future Token and Skill tokens
IMO, **** Skill Tokens. There are some that waste a lot of time (The Easy Skill Token Month or whatever back in 2007/2008), and there are some that are elitist as **** to the point where less then 100 people can get them (St. Scarhand) Anti-PA is a mixed bag, but I have failed to find 10 people who thought Zephon was a good idea.
Regular tokens I like, because they require searching the site, which is fair/challenging for everyone regardless of skill level (assuming that you have the ability to think). Plus, we have very few of those compared to the 100+ Skill Tokens.
