Default Choosing a Keyboard.

I just want a few ideas as to what would be a good keyboard. I messed up my laptop keyboard, as some of you may know, and so I'm looking for one for my desktop, so I don't further mess up my laptop. The one I have now for my desktop sucks for FFR, so I was just wondering if anybody knew any decent keyboards that have good, fairly easy to press keys that I can use for FFR.

I believe it was posted elsewhere that Logitech keyboards are good for accuracy, and Dell keyboards are good for speed (or was it the other way around?)
Overall though, I think Logitech is the way to go. I should start looking into it soon too, my laptop keyboard's not handling FFR too well either...

Alright, thanks.
I have actually been looking at a few Logitech keyboards.

I have a real nice logitech. It is one of those standard ones, but it's lasted me a while now. I've always wanted to try the logitech gaming one, but I don't think that will ever happen. I do remember seeing a nice creative one, the fatility or something like that iirc. That one looks kinda nice.

Why shouldn't you get wireless? I'm using a wireless keyboard right now it's fine.

Bah, I thought you were talking about synthesizer keyboards.

I'm using a Z-board that spaces the directional keys apart enough so that it's much more comfortable playing FFR.

Of course it is fine for your skill level, it starts showing when your level is higher.

Threads like this make me feel grateful for the keyboards I've own. The two I've own was a laptop keyboard and this really, really, old one from the 1990s.

Back when I played Maple Story, I played it on my laptop and I went through so many keystrokes, almost all the letters on the keys were worn away and each key has a really nice smooth feel to it. Today, the keys still react as fast as ever, however, I've got a PC now so I no longer use it.

I am using a keyboard from back in the 1990s currently, I bet it was expensive back then because that's when my Dad bought it and even today, it functions just as well as the standard keyboard nowadays. It's definitely gone through as many and probably more keystrokes than the keyboard on my laptop and the letter keys have not a single problem. The only keys that take a while to react are the arrow keys, which present a problem while playing FFR. However, that's okay because the lag is consistent and I can get use to that kind of lag.

The computer I use is slower than the other one (my brother is always on the other). The other computer got a new keyboard recently, because the old one stopped working. Both the old and new keyboards were/are wireless Logitechs. I couldn't even pass Delirium with that old keyboard (of course I can FC it on this computer). The new keyboard over there isn't much better.

This computer has a corded CompUSA keyboard. It's split down the middle, and the down arrow key is under the left and the right arrowkeys, instead of between them. Maybe it's just that I'm used to this keyboard... It works swell for me, and I can't do that well on the Dell keyboards at school.

Wireless will usually have a little bit of lag.

If you play often at home and other places, get a common keyboard.
But if you play mostly at home then get something to your liking.

I have a seven year old Dell QuietKey keyboard (though it is hardly quiet at all) and it works well for me on ffr and stepmania. I would recommend getting something more "current" though, seeing how old this one is.
