Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Don't feel bad ddr_f4n, I was really confused about how to beat event 12 too. I had to look at gamefaqs about how to beat it. When they said push B to get more pikmin I was like...duh...

Rofl come on guys. Squeek is right. Rack your brain around more before you give up on something to the point that you need to go to gamefaqs. I'm sure for most people event 12 was beaten on their first try if they weren't hard.

Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Anyone try the co-op events yet? Some of them are annoying but I managed to beat them all with a few of my friends over the weekend.
A few tough ones were... - fight giant Ness and Lucas on Castle Siege with tiny GaW and Jigglypuff. you had to not die until the stage changed and everyone would return to normal size. - Kill 50 Yoshis on Rainbow Cruise before it made one lap around with MK and Pit. This was way harder than we thought it would be since the Yoshis take forever to spawn and often played hard-to-get.

Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
WARNING: Rant about Brawl
I liked everything in Brawl so far, except for one thing, you can't have separate Brawl files. My brother can play video games more often than me, so he gets farther than I can in the same amount of time. In Melee, we would make two separate files, one for him on his memory card and one for me on mine. That way I could play at my own pace and clear the parts I want and he would be doing what he wanted on the game. Brawl, on the other hand, lets you only have one file and you can't start another one on a SD card, like with some Wii games. I can't enjoy the whole game myself because he's all ready unlocked almost everything and there's nothing left for me to do except get new trophies and stickers. I can still play Brawls, use Wi-Fi and do the SSE, but I can't unlock any new characters or courses. I didn't have this problem with the first game for the N64 either because I was only in elementary and I had plenty of free time. I'm currently in college, so I hardly have any time to play due to classes. Maybe I should also try to spend less time on the computer. I don't want to start a new game because it would change the FC and he all ready shared our it with a couple of friends. I told my mom about this and she told my brother that he'd either give $25 dollars since I payed for half of the game, not play it except for Wi-Fi for the next few weeks or delete the file and start all over again. You know what, screw my brother. I'm going to delete the file. If it took him a few days to unlock all of the characters and courses, he can do it again. I'll just make sure I save his snapshots, movies and custom stages to our SD card. |

Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Yeah, not having multiple saves is pretty gimpy.
I found out today that the Best Buy next to me has Brawl available. I have to play with the Nunchuk, but it's surprisingly easy. Well, it's not easy, but it's way easier than I invisioned. I was doing better with it than I was with the Classic Controller, since it wasn't registering up when I was pressing over, mainly. Smash moves were easier, too. A quick swap of guard and jump would make it quite intuitive. Anyway, Lucas = awesome. Y'all weren't lying to me earlier. I might try to make him my main, because he has some beastly smash moves, and the knockdown on his PK Fire is great. Played Samus some more, too, and she's still quite solid. I got to practice a bit with ZSS and she is indeed quite the viable character. Meta Knight, as y'all said, isn't as good as I gave him credit for. Got killed really easily and had trouble delivering killing blows. --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |

Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
F-smash is a decent KO move, but nothing amazing. However, the Shuttle Loop (up-B) is fairly reliable as a kill move and can be done out of shield. It's also VERY quick and has a large hitbox. Use that as your main kill move.

Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Couldn't you copy the save data to an SD card, delete it from the Wii, and start anew?

Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
I think they disabled that, so people wouldn't just download completed save files online.

Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
I played with my friends last night. The lag wasn't too bad, and the matches were quite fun. I want to try Team Multi Man Melee sometime. =)
BTW: Anybody else playing complete n00bs on every match using the "with anyone" option? I can get 8 KO's as Ike and I rape everybody way too easily. =(

Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Ike is the strongest character in the game by far.
Only downside to him is his moves seem slower to release. |

Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Depends on the move really. His Up+A doesn't have that big of a delay.
Besides.. online lag takes care of slow releases. |

Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Finally beat all the events on Hard.
41 was rediculous. Mario goes nowhere untill like 300 damage. and who's Idea was it to give the giant mario a shield. Even giga Bowser didn't get a sheild. Ugh Ugh Ugh. You have a better chance getting mario to fall off the stage then killing him. 99% on SSE. Missing something in the top right of the maze, and something in the subspace bomb factory.

And as far as being slow, it's not a major issue as far as I can figure. Of all of the people I've played online, I still manage to pull off charged smashes. You might have a hard time pulling off Ike's ridiculous smashes against the best of the best, but a "decent" player should still be able to get it off in the face of other "decent" players. Quote:
You can kill him manually, but if you manually down all of his stock, odds are that once you've finished him, you won't be able to last long against the others. When I beat him, I'm pretty sure I manually did at least one of his stocks, and lucked out that he decided to kill himself for the rest. It's a shame I can't get anywhere near as lucky with cruel melee... my best as of yet is 3, but I need to get 10 to complete all challenges. I really ought to practice the "avoid damage then poke you off the edge" tactic or else I'll never 100% clear the game. This means it's on your end.
