Capitalism: The Forum Game

The Rules: You pick a name for your Corporation. This corporation has three statistics: shares of stock, stock value and overall company value. Company value is determined by multiplying shares of stock by stock value.

Your corporation starts out with 10 shares of a stock worth $1.00 a share. Each turn you may raise the stock price by the number of cents equal to ten times the number of the post right before yours. For example, if 3 posts have been made on the thread before you post, you can raise share value 30 cents or gain 3 more shares.

You may buy out a corporation, but only on a post with a number divisible by 30. To buy out a corporation, you must sell enough shares to equal the value of a corporation you are buying out. You state the amount of shares you are losing, remove them from your total, and then the corporation you buy out is out of the game for good. The game is over when one super-corporation remains. You may NOT double-post.

You may also buy out a corporation on a post not divisible by 30, but it costs three times as much as it normally would to do so (3 times the corporations value).

Special Cases: If you post in a post divisible by 100 (ie post #100, #200, #300 ect) You may add on 10 times the amount of shares or value you normally can.

New Rule: Splitting Stocks, You may Split your stock if it is valued at a minimum of $50. Splitting stock takes 3 turns during which you may not raise the number of shares or value of each share. Once the stock is split, you have twice as many shares with half the value of each.

Void any posts done incorrectly.
