Gas Price Watch
Okay. Now that I've got your attention with the thread title, lets get started. Ever since the gas prices have reached $2.50/gallon and in some places now $3.00/gallon, you have probably wondered where you could get some cheap gas. There is primarily one link to where you could find this information; and that link is GasPriceWatch.com. I, myself, have been a member and spotter nearly 1 1/2 years and it is very easy to use.
The basic function of the website is to help you find the lowest price of gas in your neighborhood. You don't have to register to use GasPriceWatch.com. You can start searching right now by using one of the forms on the left. Go ahead, give it a try. If you would like to get more information on the site, you can click on the First Time Here? tab at the very top of the GPW home page. If you would like to help spot and post prices in your neighborhood so others can benefit from our website, then you must register as a spotter. It's free to join, takes just a moment and admits you to the ranks of thousands of others who support the search for the lowest price in town! GPW currently has over 100,000 volunteers spotting and posting prices and putting in time to help make this website the best in the United States for keeping a check gas prices. Fell free to cruise around the GPW website by going to GasPriceWatch.com. Last edited by madmatt621; 04-12-2007 at 10:46 PM.. |

Re: Gas Price Watch
At some places down here southeast of Housto, Texas, they are just teasing you at $2.98 or $2.99/gallon, but some places, like Shell with their V-Power gas, have gone over $3.00 to near $3.14/gallon. I have gasoline barrels at my house. I guess it might be a good idea to go ahead and fill them up before the hurricane season.

Re: Gas Price Watch
Jeez. In Dallas it's around $2.70. Some local radio stations also do things like GasPriceWatch for just the Metroplex, too, but they're really nice sites, even though I usually get it at the grocery store since I get discounts there.

Re: Gas Price Watch
over here in australia its about $1.35 per litre
1 gallon is roughly 3.79 litres so 1.35 x 3.79 = AU$5.12 so AU$1 = US$0.83 so over here its US$4.25 per gallon i think we have it worse hmm |

Re: Gas Price Watch
Lately the gas prices here have been around $2.59. After searching on GPW, it says there's a place where I can get gas for $2.05 less than two miles away O_o

Re: Gas Price Watch
Right.
Over here in the UK we have huge taxes on gas, so the national average price is something like £0.92 a litre. Using the US gallon, and current exchange rates, that amounts to .92 x 3.79 x 1.986 = $6.92 per gallon. If you go into London that price can be bumped up 10-15%. I think fuel prices are only higher than this in the Netherlands. Then there's insurance, road tax, parking, congestion charges... Needless to say, I don't drive. [/rant] |

Re: Gas Price Watch

Me and my brother went to Santa Monica yesterday and it was almost $4 there. |
