FFR lol.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening (beaten on all difficulties, still play it), Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (100% and still play it), Resident Evil 4 (Finished that game at least 40 times). I can see Guitar Hero is gonna last a while, too. |

Re: Replay Value
114:25:43 in BF2, playing online. Even more if you count the time I've spent screwing around with bots, and the loads of time playing the demo before they recorded stats.
Prolly the most time ever would be on Maplestory. Doesn't Windows keep track of how often programs are opened somewhere? I'd like to see exactly how many hours I've put into MS, since the game itself doesn't keep track of it. =\ But anywho, I don't see how somebody can go through a game with a story more than once or twice. Most games I go through once and then basically stop playing them. Hell, I like screwing around playing GTA:SA on my file that is 92% done more than I like redoing all the missions, even though the 92% done file has basically no point to it. I dunno, for me it's kinda like watching a movie again. Some people will watch the same movie 100 times in a small period of time and still enjoy it just as much the 100th time, I would get bored with it. With games it's worse, cuz the 2nd playthrough is more like work and redoing stuff you've already done is boring to me. I like the feeling of accomplishment, and doing something I've already done doesn't accomplish anything for me. Now if a game had alternate storylines I might replay it and try to get the alternate stories/endings. I did the hard mode on Cavestory for that reason, but I wouldn't replay it again now, cuz I've done both ways. But yeah, I think games with the most replay value are games with a rewards system or just a sheer huge number of things to do. I've played SA more than any other GTA game, and I'm at 92% on it, and I think it'd be cool to get 100% one day. I prolly won't ever do it, but I play around in it and try to accomplish more just because it'd be nice to 100% at least one of them. XD

So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =( In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz. So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright. And I write the blog for their website. Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O |

Re: Replay Value
Super Smash Bros. about 1000 hours
Super Smash Bros. Melee about 300 hours The Legend of Zelda for NES about 1000 hours, probably beat each quest about 50 times by now, most of this was when I was young, and so it took me a long time to go through, now I've beaten 1st quest in 52 minutes. Super Mario World about 300 hours, beaten like 30 times. FFR about 800 hours SM about 400 hours Tales of Symphonia about 200 hours Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars about 300 hours, probably beaten it about 100 times. Golden Sun about 150 hours, probably beaten it like 10 times now.

Re: Replay Value
I have about 500 hours on my Super Smash Bros. Melee game data. It takes about that long to get everything in the game, which I obviously did.
I played through Tales of Symphonia twice. 100 hours on the first run, 60 on the second. This is including getting all the extra items in the game. I had beaten the entire thing in 60 and 20 respectively. It just took more time to max everything out, including levels. Back when Tony Hawk games were only completed by beating everything all over again with every character, I did so with THPS3. Aside from that, I didn't really replay games that much. I used to back when all I had was an NES with 100+ individual games and only a dozen good ones, but now that I have such a huge selection, it's hard to just single out one game and continuously replay it. I must've replayed all of my favorite games at least once, but it's rare to do so nowadays. |
