Re: Songs of the Week (August 18th, 2014)
Um, I'd hate to rain on this joke but he actually used a possibly valid reason it was bad with "arbitrary jacks". There's no absurdity like paying a hooker to give you an STI, or sticking a mace into your ass and then spinning it to blend your ass hole. Don't compare this scum to me, his post is maybe 0.001 Midnight's at best. (Official measurement idea do not steel.)
I can teach you my ways though Coolguy if you're interested. Here's the class layout: Bans (At least 20 would work.) Public hatred. Longer bans (Like we're talking a 1 month ban at least 6 months = passing grade.) Lack of respect. (This is honestly the easiest of these.) And for your final: A petition for your permanent ban I can teach you so many things. And it's really easy because the FFR general public is more butt-hurt than feminists. Nobody said "arbitrary jacks". And the jacks aren't arbitrary, they go to repeating vocals.

Re: Songs of the Week (August 18th, 2014)
You know what, not gonna fix my post because I wrote it thinking it was arbitrary which destroys my whole joke. It's also funnier if I leave it as is.
He's still not even a fraction of what I was though. That part's still true. |

Re: Songs of the Week (August 18th, 2014)
I also have to agree that Gee and DubstEpic Symphony aren't that good, and that I've spotted a few inconsistencies in jumps/hands, along with a few places arrows could have went to give the difficulty meaning throughout, but I wouldn't stoop low to insult them and the person who made them. Get a grip, people. It's a game, and this sort of nonsense is not what I want to come back to.

Re: Songs of the Week (August 18th, 2014)
Just played Gee, was pretty awesome.
Jacks were warranted and not awkward to hit, and the layering was fine throughout I thought. 16ths were kind of tricky with the jump placements for me but it's a pretty good midlevel file. Only complaint was the long wait before the file started. EDIT: DubstEpic was also fun, but I think the jumpstream sections felt a little weird to hit and some of the jacks as well. The stream at the end also warrants a higher rating imo. Last edited by Gradiant; 08-19-2014 at 04:46 PM.. |

Re: Songs of the Week (August 18th, 2014)
Okay, I played the files, wow, those two don't know what they're talking about!!!!!!!
Gee was fun, I liked the jack usage. Wasn't a big fan of the 16ths and the long intro, but it's an alright file. DubstEpic was pretty good, I enjoyed it. It sounded very minimalistic, and I love it because that's all you're tapping too Full Mast... MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Okay, I think this file is amazing and delicious. The only problem, I think it should be higher than a 68. Thoughts?

Not sure about an exact rating on Full Mast but I do think it should be rated higher than Trinity.

Removed a ton of posts following the SC_coolguy drama. I expect you guys to behave better than this.
SC will be banned for that comment; simfile artists are the ones that produce the content that we all play. If you don't like it, you are more than entitled to have a negative opinion about the file. However, reducing to vulgar insulting of that level is not tolerated. |

Re: Songs of the Week (August 18th, 2014)
the intro from gee was like 20 seconds >.> come on that's not fun to retry
the ending from dubst was... difficult Either remove that part or make the song like 65, that was an unwarranted difficulty spike. |

Re: Songs of the Week (August 18th, 2014)
Here are subjective ratings with subjective comments
Gee: 7.5/10 Nothing original, but well executed DubseEpic Symphony: 7/10 Original, some clever steps. Enjoyed most of the jacks, but not the 32nd stream Was expecting to be full mindblown by the last one... Full Mast: 8.5/10 Some of the best steps I've seen in a while in terms of "expressiveness". Not only are the patterns great, they "feel" like the song. They really belong here, and this was nicely done. I admit I have never been a fan of hands in faster patterns, though. Call it lack of skill if you want. This was close to my limit :P p.s.: This song should've been released a week before the stepcon. Group B might've got a better understanding of how guitar solos work, haha. |

Seems like I missed some prime drama in this thread
Glad everyone is enjoying Full Mast. It's very gratifying to hear that people think it's so good.

I was in tears, but mostly because marathon songs after showering do this to me (dry eyes rip rain).
