For the love of God, please tell me by "putting a hold on TWG's" you mean just TWG. Not jTWG.

That's ridiculous, man. Gotta leave one going, at the least.

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
Here's what I think, even though it probably won't change anything.
I propose we merge the current games, with the game from the TWG being played, as there are more members signed up for that one at the moment. (TWG has 8 while jTWG has 7. The jTWG host can choose between signing up or co-hosting.) From this game until further notice, we only run one TWG at a time. However, allow newbies to sign up for the TWG games, but only if there are available spots and they show a legitimate self-propelled interest. (This means no bribing them or asking them to play.) By doing this, we will simultaneously solve the current inactivity plague, while still allowing new players to try their hand at the game. Hosts-to-be should keep their games relatively simple; if there are too many items/roles, then the newbies will be put off by the complexity, and the veterans playing the game will most likely become inactive anyway. I'd recommend 12-16 players in each game with an optional item system if it floats your boat. Make games too long, and anybody that's left out won't want to play when there are spots. How's that sound?

I know I can't vote but please merge the two. I don't care who I'm playing with, noobs or pros, but please just put me in a game. Waiting a week for signups to fill up is ridiculous. |

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
pnt gave me the ok to merge the current games; BDN and I just have to discuss which game will be played, and he's not on at the moment so =(
Edit: Just realized, if we merge and play my game, everybody that signed up will be able to play. If we play BDN's game, three people will be left out. But I still need the ok from BDN.

That's pretty much the plan. One game, small, and simple for the most part. Enough of this complex nonsense.

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
Can we do some complex ones once in a while? The boring ones always have the same general idea - seer comes out, guard guards seer, wolves spend entire game searching for guard. It gets repetitive.

Whatever, I'm still proposing my game next host signup.
Approving merge and canceling my player signups. Knock yourself out, Gamer.

Yeah... I mean, I was talking with Rurutsu and we hate simple games. But, the majority, or at least the TWC, want them, so we can't really argue. But, once in a while is good. Or rather, whatever gets voted for. XD

I'd rather create crazy roles that force players to think in new ways than have elaborate item systems that give far too much hard evidence for their own good.

That's what I'm talking about. Roles, not items. Items are fun at times.

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
Exactly, all of these items make TWG seem like an MORPG and it's not supposed to be.

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
TWoWG etc
rzr, as with roles, items can be fun. However, they have to be balanced and relevant to the game. They also shouldn't be able to determine somebody's role through loopholes and point a to point b logical thinking, which just ruins the game for everybody. TWG is supposed to have a degree of uncertainty in it, and items tend to remove that factor. Which is why even a decent mystery game can be a lot of fun. Everybody has nothing to start with other than their own role, and they have to put a bunch of indicators and indirect evidence together to figure things out. It's more of a challenge when done right, IMO.

A fact we all already know, lol. However, items don't elminate that degree, they enhance it.

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
Every game doesn't have to be simple. However, if the games are merged then a good portion of them should be.

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
hasn't this idea been proposed before already and we decided that it's better to have separate TWGs in order for newer players not to get bitched at and for veteran players have some sort of cushion to buffer the fighting?
w/e really. i already cant stand some of the people (idiots) that play, and putting them on my reject list doesn't affect my gameplay at all. not having the two different classes, jTWg and TWG, disables me from joining a game with people (idiots) in it. also, if you're going to merge, ... nvm, i just thought about it. i'm guessing there should at least be one person each host signup that proposes an standard (easy?) game giving us options. i still don't like the idea of merging. It's like closing off TWG again. if your primary reasons for merging is "inactivity" and a "low player populous" then you're just thinking selfishly so that you guys can play your own little game amongst yourselves. TWG has always had it's fair share of inactivity and you think by merging the two players will miraculously pay more attention to the game? let me answer: rofl no. i love having new players. sure they -might- suck, but it's new blood. seeing the same usernames in a game is just boring and gay (also i reject most of you players just because i know you're all full of ****). tl;dr: merging is stupid don't do it ******s
