Default Import question... (please answer)

Okay. I am seriously considering buying a fliptop and sawp magic CDs so i can play the Japanese version of DDR EX on my PS2. I just have one question before i buy it though. Can you save and load Japanese games on a US memory card using the fliptop? Or do you need to buy the Japanese memory card? If not... im not buying it. And I am also refusing to buy a mod chip because I heard that they can destroy your PS2.

Oh and also... i am a total noob when it comes to importing because i just found out about it.

I don't think memory cards differentiate between countries, so you should be alright with a US-bought one. And I'm also pretty sure you can use a normal PS2 while using swap discs...

Feel free to correct me if anyone knows otherwise, because I'm just going on what I can remember from people.

I use U.S. memory cards for all my imports. PS2 mem cards are pretty universal. I know DDR EX can save to a U.S. card, but when importing a game, check around on a site like www.gamefaqs.com first to see if there are any special exceptions. The only save problem I've had so far is with Donkey Konga 3 for the Gamecube.

I seriously reccomend you think about just downloading DDR EX for SM, it's cheaper and you can still use a PS2 pad.

I did that before... but my computer crashed! So I'm not risking that again because then I'll have to spend another couple of days fixing it. I'm just going to buy the fliptop and a few Japanese games. Thanks for the info!
