Re: KeyBoard Ultimix: Now Accepting!
If the whole file is done in jumps it isn't very fun.
P.S. Yelled at Ben again. |

I'M ALIVE.
Sorry this is taking a while, this will be the ONLY time, I promise. If not you can interpunch me in the face. Anyway batch looks cool so far - we have more than 5! I'm still finishing downloading the final few sims from the hotmail account, then I'll give the batch to joel and Sulfer. Sorry, again. I...don't have any sims for Baby's Tears... resend? Re: KeyBoard Ultimix: Now Accepting!
I hope Level 1-1 makes it in. I encountered SO many problems while making that file.

Re: KeyBoard Ultimix: Now Accepting!
Sulfer hasn't finished andI can't get a old of joel :S But what the hell: do remember that if I've given a + it WON'T go in without another +, so try not to get your hopes too high! And this is a one off - I will probably NEVER release another batch review without the others.
~Brainwash (Xpander Remix~ ~NEEDS TO TELL ME THE USERNAME!~ Heavy: + Good fun, but it's repetive, but that's more of the songs fault than anything, so you get +d! ~Cream of Mushroom Vacation~ ~Kairon~ Heavy: +? Some missed jumps during 16th streams. That was the ONLY problem I found. ~D-Code~ ~intensez~ Heavy: -? Better than before, but there are still MANY beats that are off. There is no need to change the bpm or redo the whole file, just play on assist tick in the editor and fix those beats! ~Dignity~ ~intensez~ Heavy: ? A MUCH better entry than D-Code, but there are a few things off - the BPM is not constant, some 16ths don't fit and a lot of air is used in the wrong places. But other than that, you're getting better ~Holy Night~ ~SulferDragon~ Heavy: + LONG JACKS ARE LONG. One minor niggle, it doesn't fade-out as well as it should after the final arrow, but I can take care of that. Good! ~Horizon Remix~ ~MatrixDude~ Heavy: + Loved it - the pitch relevant streams were great fun and the air was used well, even though it got very hard at the end! ~Horobita Star~ ~Kommisar~ Heavy: + YES YES YES. Really good fun, loved the gallops. Great fun all round! Oni: + A lot harder than Heavy due to the hands, but more fun, definately. Edit: + HAHAHAHAHA. I'm not gonna clear this! +d because it's cool to have a hard song, and they don't come much harder than this! OH, and it's good. ~Level 1-1~ ~Kairon~ Heavy: + Absolutely loved it - the Mario song was great and the steps were well thought out and placed - excellent. ~Noises~ ~Kairon~ Heavy: + I looked at the sm editor and though WHAT THE HELL IS THIS CRAP. Then I played it, and realised how wrong I was. Reminds me of a harder Clash at the Mountains! ~Return to the Road We Came~ ~SulferDragon~ Heavy: + Excellent - just the right difficulty for someone who can't handle Oni. Oni: + HANDS. Used so well! It took you months to create this and it was well worth it. Maybe one of the best files so far! ~White Eve~ ~MixMasterLar~ Oni: + I actually REALLY enjoyed this! But I think Sulfer will give it a ? for the freeze-stream. I hope he doesn't, I like this! |

Re: KeyBoard Ultimix: Now Accepting!
MixMasterLar, I love your sig. XD
I have a few files up for this pack. :] Oh one more thing: Are these spread, index, or both kinds of charts?

Re: KeyBoard Ultimix: Now Accepting!
Um, I'm kind of grounded, but I guess I'll play the files now. That's sort of why I'm up at 3:30 a.m.
P.S. I'm only playing the files Ben +'d EDIT: Whatever you want, but we'd prefer you wouldn't use hands in Heavy, and make a Challenge chart if you want hands. Last edited by SulferDragon; 09-27-2007 at 06:07 AM.. |

Re: KeyBoard Ultimix: Now Accepting!
Hi.
Brainwash - +? - Um, a lot of those 16ths don't even go to anything, and then we have completely random jacks. Cream of Mushroom Vacation - ? - Jumps that don't follow the percussions, or make any sense at all. Random 16th streams that don't even follow the song. We don't need another Quasar, okay? Holy Knight - ++++ - My simfile. Best metal sim I've ever made. BEN, DO NOT MESS WITH THE CUT! Horizen Remix - ? - Less 16th stream, and more stream variation please. It gets dull. Didn't like some of the jumps in the streams. Measures 81-93 have no connection to the song. Horobita Star - + - OMG! This my favorite music from Kirby 64. Simple, and fun. Nice pitch relevant streams. Edit steps, rofl. Level 1-1 - + - Nice. Um, would you mind telling us what this is from, because "Level 1-1" isn't very descriptive. Or is it not from anything particular? Noises - +? - Steps could be varied a bit to follow other noises at parts. 48ths don't fit. Short. Gap off by -30. Try to wear headphones and slow the music rate down, then resend this. Return to the Road We Came - ? - wtf is this ****!? White Eye - +? - Better then your other file, I guess. Parts of it follow the song good, but other parts really don't connect much and feel random. It's also to easy; there are to many spots with to few steps. Also, if you listen to the drum rolls, there are 32nds and 24ths in them. Do you wear headphones? What I'm saying made it: Holy Knight Horobita Star Level 1-1 Return to the Road We Came (even though it's crap) P.S. Ben, please let Kommisar judge. Next batch of files he's judging, okay? |

Re: KeyBoard Ultimix: Now Accepting!
Level 1-1 is an original tune. I just named it 'Level 1-1' because it sounds like the first level of some old NES game. It isn't actually from anything.
Glad you like it, though. |
