nah, i close it often enough. Nothing happens as a warning in fact. The notes and audio are in sync. I'll be AAAing a file, and just suddenly, oops there go the notes, and after the second is over i've got averages and misses out the yingyang

Im having the same issue, Its just like its in snyc, falls out and then its back. I have a hard time managing to get perfect runs, no matter what song or difficulty im playing at.

That is really strange. Left my engine open over July 4th and tried to play a song today, to ensure I'm not going crazy. I'm not:


Wonder why I'd be the only one having this happen (not that it's a particularly big deal, but odd for sure).

Im at a point where i don't know what to do, Ive been trying to use the R^3 engine, but its just not going to be in sync. If i use an offset of 1.8 it looks the best(I appear to hit notes late), it plays the best at 2.0(score), and tells me i should be at 2.15-2.2 for the auto detect thing. Im really giving up on trying because ive messed with it a ton, however i don't want to say on legacy while the rest of the community moves on.

I still have massive trouble AAA easier songs on 2.0

Edit, Im having more good results with judge offset at -0.2 and global at 1.6, but only one song. On other songs its telling me im within 0.06 on average, but still hitting a lot of goods... I don't get it. My monitor is not the issue.

Edit2, It looks good in 0.2, 2.0 offsets. I just cant understand why its changing so much.

Edit3, Random song played at 0.2 judge, 2.0 offset, dif of 50. It doesnt feel like its on, but it is/isnt. The amazing to perfect count looks very solid to me, but the numbers show its off?

the engine's songlist needs to have the sort option... i'm quite comfortable in choosing songs in A~Z order...

I got the standalone and tried R^3 today for the 1st time. I really like the new look of it and all the customization and stuff, ESPECIALLY the isolation and rate feature. No more taking screenshots@

Only thing that sucked was that it took a lot of messing around with the offsets to finally get it to play in sync for me. Used to use velocity and -1 offset worked for just about every song.

After like an hour of messing around I found that 0 global and .642 judge works fine for me so far. Will see if it starts messing up again.

Only things I don't understand are the custom judge window thing (where you right click in judge offset and click 'Custom judge window') and the accuracy thing where you right click on the mods on the results page after you finish a song. No idea how those work.

Oh, also just a suggestion but you should make all Amazing!!'s and 0 misses AAAA rating and have a different colored combo # for it instead of orange like all Perfect!'s 0 misses.

Yeah, again, options redesign needs to happen. That whole alt engine combo box is ugly and stupid, I was just lazy.

The accuracy thing is your average offset, so basically it's the judge offset you should've used for that run of the song. Checking it on a song you can play well gives you a tip of where your judge offset should be. Ignore the +/- part, it's just the standard deviation from the offset, so basically a measure of how accurate you were.

Custom judge windows are for setting up your own timing windows, you can make them wider, stricter, or any sort of weird setup you want.

Slashmaid first 4 notes are sped-up. I'm playing 60 fps, 2.0 speedmod with screencut... if that matters whatsoever.

i actually started out just fine using fp10, but after a bit i started to know it was goin off sync/laggin just a tad. couldn't be fixed no matter what fps, judge offset, or global offset combo i tried. so....

tosh tells me:
use fp9 like you would for velo engine

I did this, all same settings. holy shit it works. You get that feeling like, "omfg everything is perfect"

I made a custom judge and then couldn't figure out how to get rid of it. I pushed the reset button just to get rid of it, and I thought it'd be gone, and then redid all my settings, but the custom judge was still there. It's hard to tell when you have a custom judge set and hard (impossible?) to get it to go away without refreshing the page. I think it could be improved.

And 0 (piano version) also has its first 2 notes sped it, if no one mentioned it yet.

Yeah, you can get rid of it by going back to the custom judge prompt and entering junk or a space. It's a sekrit feature after all, which I'm using to mean super-beta-causes-problems-may-be-completely-broken.

As for the sped up songs, these should all be fixed in the next update.
