TWG XLV Postgame
Full Role Guide
___ 4 Wolves - 1 Master Wolf (played by FishFishRevolution (Sakuya Izayoi)) Power depends on other events - 1 Wolf Seer (played by DarkManticoreX2 (Alice Margatroid)) Looks at one other player a night and gets a return of green or blue - 1 Wolf Hoarder (played by x3Mamimi (Reisen Udongein Inaba)) As long as this wolf is alive, the wolf team can store a kill for later use If kill is stored, it is not used that night Wolf cannot store more than one kill If Wolf Hoarder dies while a kill is stored, it is lost - 1 Normal Wolf (played by talisman (Yukari Yakumo)) Standard red infantry --- 9 Special roles: - 1 Serial Killer (played by Kefit (Cirno)) Independent third party Returns "blue" to Wolf Seer Has highest victory priority Can only be wolfed if targeted on a single hit night If the serial killer targets the Master Wolf, there is a 33% chance the MW will die, a 33% chance no one dies and a 33% chance both the SK and MW die If the serial killer does not send a kill in before deadline, a target will be chosen at random from the pool of everyone alive (including the serial killer themselves) --- - 1 Defector (played by flawofhumanity (Patchouli Knowledge)) Returns "green" to Wolf Seer Wins if humans lose Wins if survives through a human win Loses if dies in a human win --- - 1 Crazy Ivan (played by roundbox (Kaguya Houraisan)) Returns "blue" to Wolf Seer Kills random player if killed If killed via any non-lynch method, odds that a member of the responsible party is killed in retaliation are increased - 1 Ballet Box Tamperer (played by FoJaR (Sikieiki Yamaxanadu)) Returns "blue" to Wolf Seer Operating illegally Can change one person's vote per night to whatever they want If someone comes out in thread and claims they will vote for a particular player, BBT can check to see if they are lying If there is a general thread consensus on who to vote for every night, BBT can check to see if any one person indeed voted for them Can only perform one of the above actions per night - 1 Mason Trio (played by sertman (Keine Kamishirasawa), FictionJunction (Remilia Scarlet) and Omeganitros (Eirin Yagokoro)) Return "blue" to Wolf Seer Three humans who know each other to be human - 1 Voyeur (3 looks) (played by Stella! (Suika Ibuki)) Returns "blue" to Wolf Seer Operating illegally Targets, at most, one player per night to watch If Voyeur picks a wolf or a human that survives, they will see them asleep in bed If Voyeur picks a human that gets wolf killed, they will see a random wolf If Voyeur picks the serial killer, they will be told the person wasn't home If Voyeur picks the serial killer's kill, the serial killer will spot them and there is a 50% chance the serial killer kills the voyeur - 1 Blue Miller (played by JurseyRider734 (Hong Meiling)) Returns "blue" to Wolf Seer Will not know they are a miller - 1 Morph (initially played by StoicRoivaS (Youmu Konpaku)) Returns "green" to Wolf Seer Chooses 4 people to pick 1 randomly from If Morph gets a green, their power transfers to that green If Morph green a blue, they gets that blue's power for one night/day (depending on what the power is) If Morph gets a red, they lose their power and is told that player is red If Morph chooses the Master Wolf or the Serial Killer, they die - 1 Aspiring Psychic (3 spells) (played by rioting (Yuyuko Saigyouji)) Returns "blue" to Wolf Seer Operating illegally as long as any spells remain May cast, at most, one spell per night When a spell is cast, the psychic will know how many wolves are left If the serial killer is alive when a spell is cast, the psychic won't be told If the serial killer is dead when a spell is cast, the psychic will be told --- - 5 regular humans Played by jwcgator (Ran Yakumo), DiscoBobbyPARANOiA (Marisa Kirisame), pntballa18/Larrikin (Komachi Onozuka), PsYcHoZeRoSk8eR (Reimu Hakurei), thunderstrike687 (Yuka Kazami) ___ Notes: - I dislike how this game was practically ruined from the start by stupid PM shit, but I have myself as much as anyone else to blame for this because I considered posting the green PM but decided not to for some dumb reason. - Wolf MVP goes to Mamimi for doing the best job of blending in, and only being elminated through bad luck. Human MVP goes to Stoic almost by default (maybe FJ instead?). Kefit gets an honorable mention for playing his role very well and only getting killed because of stupid 20-minutes-left votespam when he wasn't around. The rest of you range from mediocre play at best to clinically retarded (Fish >_>). - The whole resurrection thing was a hoax: there were zero methods in place to trigger any sort of return to the game. - How did ABSOLUTELY NO ONE pick up on talisman and Manti being the only ones to bring up the idea of a Serial Killer on Day 2? The clueless human would have assumed the second death was triggered by Fish's suicide, especially since DBP was supposed to have been guarded that night. However, the wolves knew, at that point, that a third party existed (Mamimi horded on Nights 1 and 3), and presenting the SK idea was a bit of a slip brought on by too much information. FoJaR seemed to be the only one who came close but then he went off on FJ for whatever reasons he had. If that wasn't enough, Manti and talisman working together to off Kefit with 20 minutes to go and after Kefit had publicly stated he would be at work when the day ended should've been a dead giveaway. - flaw turned in rioting postmortem (and by accident to boot XD) and Mamimi turned in Stella. talisman gets credit for being the only one to think to ask me if flaw could have been responsible for rioting's removal. Also, Stella had correctly watched Stoic on Night 2 and saw Manti in response but Mamimi turned her in too quickly. Sux. - As it turned out, DBP and Stoic both got double-killed. The wolves targeted both of them (the guard lottery turned up a "no one" that night - THIS IS WHY EVERYONE NEEDS TO VOTE), Kefit targeted DBP, and Stoic, having grabbed the Voyeur power the previous night, watched DBP but the Voyeur coin flip went Kefit's way. Ouch. - In retrospect the BBT is a dumb role as is (my apologies to FoJaR) and definitely needs more power if I wish to use it in the future. - Illegal roles are more powerful than given credit for: If you have an information-gathering one (e.g. Voyeur) and you find out someone (or multiple someones) is (are) a wolf, come out in the thread. My removal of you 100% confirms your role and dooms your target(s). I am somewhat disappointed such a strategy got zero discussion: in a 20-player game I would think the sacrifice of one human for at least one wolf would be worth it. - I loved writing for this and I think I will use Gensokyo in future games. I also have a second mystery game in the works in my head that I may put forth for Game 50 (and next time I will make sure to post the green PM). - talisman, you look very cute with the Yukari avatar. :3 - sertman what the fuck is a "blue wolf mason" lmao Commense discussion.

Re: TWG XXXV Postgame
Probably closer to clinical because you basically handed the humans a powerful alliance and only through dumb luck (emphasis on dumb) did it not turn around and bite you in the ass.

Re: TWG XXXV Postgame

Re: TWG XXXV Postgame
A lot of stuff was left out of PMs that would give away other roles.
Because it would give away other roles.

Re: TWG XXXV Postgame
Yes, but it heavily suggests the presence of both.
You weren't the only one who didn't know everything about their role. Hell, Fish didn't know anything about what his did aside from the standard seer bit which didn't even apply in this game.

Re: TWG XXXV Postgame
Oh, and for the record, for Crazy Ivan purposes, odds of retaliation were tripled through Day 3 and reduced to doubled starting on Night 4.

This game effing RULED. I officially love mystery role games.
P.S. I must emphasize how impressed I was with Mamimi's acting ability. Seriously, I was so trixxed. |

Re: TWG XXXV Postgame
I like the part where we had 9 PEOPLE WE WOULDN'T HAVE LYNCHED N1 and still lost. gg.
P.S. Don't reveal PM sensitive information and don't go hunting for more information based on what you think you know. THIS IS CHEATING. I'm just going to play it off as you guys didn't understand that facet of the rules clearly enough, but next time I'll be the first to request you never play again. If you don't understand, ask someone.

Re: TWG XXXV Postgame
Also, DBP has been waiting to host his game for quite some time now, but if people are interested in the "wolf-bite" idea I've been slow-roasting for a while now, it's pretty much done. With a request or two, I may post the rough draft in the host voting thread, otherwise I might kind of yield to his game for now, we'll see.
Edit ftw: Large props to kilga for running a game I wouldn't be ashamed to call my own. I'd take the over-sensitive "whoops it slipped, I didn't mean that" situation before I'd take a host that does nothing, if that makes sense.

Re: TWG XXXV Postgame
It's okay, sertman will never be as bad as DotC from jTWG. Let's just be happy about this.
