Sexplosion [10 or 9?]
I've had this thought for a while, but Sexplosion, to me, feels like a mid/high 9.
The fast roll-staircase sections near the start and 3/4 of the way in are pretty much the only 'difficult' part of the song. These small 2-3 second long sections are slightly more difficult than those found in 'Glorious Morning', which is rated Very Difficult. Then, we come onto the jacks. The jacks are pretty standard as well, and aren't exactly fast. Contrasted with 'Destination Unknown' (rated as Challenging) which uses a similar amount (although they are mini-jacks in Destination Unknown, herein DU). DU is also similarly 'Note dense'. Compare for instance, both of their NPS charts: Sexplosion: (I've just noticed that although the chart never breaches the 14 nps line, it says the max is 16. Same goes for DU, bt it only said 15 nps). DU: Whilst it could be argued from these charts that Sexplosion is more consistent in difficulty, but it's not exactly an award-winning argment, considering that the base 'difficulty' (i.e. NPS) on Sexplosion is so low anyway. In fact, It's incredibly similar to Musicmaker RX: Basically, in my opinion, it should be moved down to Challenging. Because it's just not challenging enough to be Very Challenging.

Re: Sexplosion [10 or 9?]
Pattern difficulty is much more important to me when judging the difficulty of a file than speed (NPS). I havent played this chart in awhile so Ill wait to vote until I do.

Re: Sexplosion [10 or 9?]
It was challenging originally, and ended up being moved up.

Re: Sexplosion [10 or 9?]

Re: Sexplosion [10 or 9?]
I'd say 9.5 because of the hard part that could make it a potential 10.

Re: Sexplosion [10 or 9?]
People....saying 9.5 doesn't mean anything. There is no 9.5 difficulty. Just say 9 lmao. If you say 9.5, it's going to be considered a 9 vote regardless.

I'm on the 10 side for this one - some really intense bursts and relatively layered pattern choices make this file pretty tricky.
The swing section isn't a huge deal because it can be cheated as 16th notes for the most part though. It fits better as a low end 10 for scoring difficulty. |

Without a doubt a 10.
If Max Forever is a 9, then Sexplosion is an 11. This song is much more difficult than Max Forever.

Re: Sexplosion [10 or 9?]
The best I've managed so far is 7 clean, which is in line with most of my scores on 9s (besides the ones in my signature).
Really though, to me it seems about as difficult as destination unknown. Now that I think about it, Sexplosion plays like the first half of Hey Hey Monkey.

Re: Sexplosion [10 or 9?]
Sexplosion's pretty much a solid low 10 Those rolls if speed isn't your thing are stupidly hard. Plus the 32nds just tie it in a neat difficulty 10 bow.

Re: Sexplosion [10 or 9?]
I'd keep Sexplosion as a low-10, the burst-like rolls are pretty intense, the 32nds at end add a bit of difficulty, and the layering in some sections make it a bit tricky.

10, on the lower end for reasons listed in previous posts.

Re: Sexplosion [10 or 9?]
10 for sure why does anyone think it's a 9? it's like a 70, it's patterns, jumpstream, mini jacks and color theory are exactly what we look for in a 10, it is a standard 10 on all fronts.

Re: Sexplosion [10 or 9?]
most of the song is a 9, but with the double jacks and short fast streams thrown in, this is a 10
