Re: Who should be added or removed for Smash Bros. U?
NEVAH. I've got my original SNES R.O.B robot who's my SSBB mascot, they can't remove rob now or he'd not get any time out of my house!
I really don't think it's too necessary to remove many, if any characters from this game as the roster could take loads. I think Lucario could afford to go and perhaps try a couple of new pokemon. Pikachu and Pokemon Trainer have good variety and should stay, as should jiggly! I think when it comes to pokemon to add to the game you only have a few you can *really* pick form as it looks to be that they choose ones that have been given personality, in that they've starred in a movie (Mewtwo, Lucario), or have had big parts in the series (Jigglypuff followed the team around for quite a while in the original series!). But add a lot more in pokeballs! Like, make something stupid like 100 different ones for some real variety. I'd like to see another one of the Sonic team in if they make the cut! Most of the main cast could be good, but I think Tails should make the cut first. I could imagine that if Wario makes the cut to the next game then they might bring in Waluigi to pair up. Maybe bring in Little Mac from punchout as a playable character? Would be an interesting closeup playstyle. As awesome as Ridley is, I can't see why people would want him as a character. I can't imagine how they'd work it... I think it'd be much better as an assist trophy. Oh and now that I think about it, I think Wolf should be cut. Falco and Fox are enough imo when it comes to the space animals. Also they should make at the very least, and option to remove tripping. And in their meetings they should shoot anyone who comes up with any similarly stupid game mechanics to add to the game. |

Kirby--> D3, Meta Knight Link --> Gannondorf Mario --> Wario, Bowser Samus --> (Okay nothing here, but that's because her enemies don't fit the charachter scale) Pokemon ---> Lucario Fox ----> Wolf I understand he plays somewhat similar, (not really because Wolf is STRONGER but way slower) but he's not a clone. You have to play at a pretty advanced level to notice the differences. (Wolf combos a lot better!) Lets see I'd like to see a few additions. Starfox: Krystal Tales of Symphonia: Lloyd, Richter, Kratos, Colette Pokemon: Mewtwo Fire Emblem: Roy Megaman: MEGAMAN And several removals: MGS: Snake Pokemon: Lucario Pikmin: Olimar ????: ROB Fire Emblem: Ike Quote:

I have Mewtwo replacing Lucario as the main enemy.

I'd like to see Count Bleck or Dimentio as a boss in the single player

Re: Who should be added or removed for Smash Bros. U?
My opinion on RPG characters is this: If someone as obscure as Ness can be in it, anyone can.
I'm restating my opinion that SSB badly needs an FF6 character, what with it being the most celebrated game on the most legendary console of all time. If not Terra, then Mog. Yeah, I want to see Mog. |

Re: Who should be added or removed for Smash Bros. U?
I'm going to reiterate my case for Takamaru in Smash Bros 4 and to remove Sonic. What business does a Sega character have in a Nintendo game I will never know, he got shoehorned into the adventure at the last possible moment, his final is cheap as all get out, and he's completely underwhelming otherwise. (Why is his up smash different from his up strong?) Clearly he's the obligatory dig-at-our-rivals joke character, much like Dan Hibiki.
Whereas with Takamaru, Nintendo has had the rights to Murasame Castle for about as long as Mario, and you even have a pre-made adventure path. He even has a number of attack animations plotted out in a way that the Wii thinks it can manage, even a flame tornado Ultimate Musou attack that would make for a passable final. Edit: Christ, how could I forget? Galacta Knight for a story-mode boss. All the SSE bosses were freaking huge, and the dark giant diddy kong...ugh, that is a HORRIFIC battle. Now imagine all the unpredictability and general butthurt that MK causes, in a boss character in story mode. That would be GK. Have an enjoy. ^_^

Re: Who should be added or removed for Smash Bros. U?
i wouldnt take any of them out of the game (even though i have complained countless times), they all earned their spots. but Ive been waiting for mega man for a while now. i heard that sora from kh was going to be in brawl, too, since he was on nintendo for a game, i just thought that would be interesting.
and on a side note: i use samus and zero suit a lot so i hafta hold down r before every battle even though my friend can CHOOSE to be sheik now and pokemon trainer can CHOOSE his starter pokemon, like wtf? they forgot about samus? |

Re: Who should be added or removed for Smash Bros. U?
As for a specific character, I'm not going to say anything because it's an incredibly subjective matter and finally pointless. Except Sonic; unnecessary controversy and direct contrast to the original purpose of the series. And for the love of whatever god you believe in or don't, they had better keep the Mii at least fifty kilometres away from it at all times.
However, I would enjoy seeing at least a partial revival of the faster and more technical mechanics that everyone who played Melee seriously came to know. I don't expect things like JC shinegrab Uthrow Uair to become commonplace again, for example, but I would appreciate the reinstatement of L-cancelling and the removal of tripping and such. Nintendo has taken a literally childish approach to gaming in recent years, going so far as to neglect, even suppress, the spice, the depth that made the previous game popular enough to have a competitive scene that has lasted for an amount of time comparable to Third Strike or DOA4, in favor of a "level playing field" and "casual appeal." It's safe to say that both Melee and Brawl's hacks [Project M, Brawl+] had both when you disregard the comparably underground community that revolved around insane finger speed and the ability to grok situations like any other progamer, and Brawl+ did a nice job of what most Melee aficionados such as myself expected from Brawl and the last game. Then again, they did name the console "Wii U", so I guess there's not much to be expected. Brawl and its sequel, in addition to the sexual violation of the high-level Mario Kart community, form a trio of disappointments which have largely kept me from playing most video games in the past few years. Maybe it's commentary on the decadence of our society. Who's to grasp the complexity of any perceived plots and subsequently resist the men in white? tl;dr Brawl was a step in the wrong direction a few orders of magnitude above what I like to see in a good game. It's a shame Sakurai's adhered to this philosophy, really.
