FFR Community Pack 4 Released!

I finally had some time to play today. I'll probably add more reviews later.


To be honest though, I'm tired of doing full pack reviews for no reason. If you want your file to be reviewed, just PM me or speak up in the thread and I'll prioritize it. Otherwise I'm going in random order

Boulafacet - This reminds me of a non x-mod epileptic crisis hue. At the beginning I had to double check if I had assist tick on lol. Really solid file and cool song, though a little out of my skill range atm (owned by mines).

Cygnus... Vismund Cygnus - (Heavy) Thought it was pretty solid. Beginning voice sync was a little questionable. My only wish is that you stepped the second guitar solo only to keep consistent with the structure of the file, even though it was probably going to be a little barren in the context of the file; what you did was perfectly acceptable

Hayate - Pretty KOOL file. I was a little confused on one of the 24th bursts towards the middle-end but maybe I wasn't paying enough attention.

I Knew You Were Trouble - (Oni) Mines. Mines everywhere. File is enjoyable.

Loli Fishing - (Oni) I forget when I played v1 of this, but v2 is still baller. The 'solo' was handled very nicely, although I'm not too entirely sold on the buildup towards the end. Surprise quad was lel.

nah dude don't sweat it i don't expect everyone to be anal about genres like i am, it's just something that's bugged me ever since FFRCP 1 haha

but yeah no, vsnares would be breakcore, most flashbulb is IDM. DnB is like, moulin rouge, way of the samurai, etc

@Wineandbread (for that matter everybody): what do you think of Lataia? neither Mwerp's nor dondon's really satisfied me, so I took my own stab at it

I liked it mostly, though I thought the part right after the piano part was to intense with the minijacking, didn't feel it fitted the song. Really like playing the file up until that point, then I just get kind of sick of it.

good point: I was going back-and-forth on how to step the second half but decided to go with a more intense approach so the part with the horns in the background and all of the various elements of the song coming together would fit. thanks!
