well it's pretty obvious people have expressed displeasure towards keybeat so there's no avoiding that...

on the other hand, phantasy star > league for the plain reason that I play games because they're fun not because I play a clone of a mediocre game HUEHUEHUEHUEHUE

being one the couple of people who talk to occasionally i can vouch for stargroup. he's a cool guy now even if he was kind of a douche in the past he's leveled out. regardless of how anyone else feels about him he's still a friend of mine who's trying to get things to work.

conflict is always going to exist in the community and if we don't learn to deal with it we're not going to get anywhere. that means learning to handle personal issues privately, allowing subcultures to thrive, and being supportive of community efforts in general.

this isn't aimed at anybody, really, just a reflection on the state of things right now in general.

First off, Vbulletin 3 is outdated as fuck. Vbulletin 3 is mostly composed of legacy code from 2004

Further more, there are plenty of sites that use vbulletin 3 without issues to this day. reCaptcha is not hard to implement. You can't use the included captcha because its ancient and has been cracked years ago.

You know, I actually totally forgot about that. I'm gonna ask bLast about what he can do, but I think a long time ago he mentioned that upgrading vbulletin would break the database and he'd have to rework a lot of stuff.

That point totally slipped my mind, thanks for reminding me.
