DDR Mario (lol)
I got this game when I first started playing DDR in January. I think Nintendo could have done better.
First of all, most people playing DDR are teens.. Not toddlers. Was there any reason for the childlike storyline and corny jokes? They're making my man Mario look like a telletubbie. Second, there is some amazing music out there in the nintendo world. If I knew it would have turned out like this, I would have preferred DDR The Legend of Zelda edition. You could like.. Step the ocarina songs and the fight music. Third.. ITS TOO EASY! The hardest song is what? A 7 footer? If that. Thoughts? Opinions? Rants? |

Re: DDR Mario (lol)
Nintendo is trying to release games more for children than teens. Do you ever see mario in a teen/mature game? Do you ever see mario beating up other people (SSB is an exception) and see mario covered with blood or join gangsters and steal from old people, helplessly beating them up with a bat? No. Mario is Nintendo's mascot for children. So when they released DDR mario mix, I somehow new that the songs were gonna be somewhat easy. Wouldn't it be a little strange watching a 6-year old boy beating Max 300 at the arcade? But i would probably be expecting more DDR games for Gamecube/Wii for games like LOZ (hopefully) or from other games that would attract teens and other gamers because Nintendo is trying to join the race/competition between Microsoft and Sony by creating more teen games and fewer children games. The songs were awesome in mario mix though, remixing songs from mario games, but that was the only good thing about that game though.

Re: DDR Mario (lol)
I suppose.. But the awesome thing about arcade DDR is its flexibility. There are all kinds of difficulties.. Which makes it appropriate for all ages. Why can't they have some hard songs there too? In the first song on the first difficulty, a full combo is like 24 arrows. The hardest song on the hardest difficulty is a little over 300 I believe.. Sure, its good for young people.. but theyre not the only ones buying it. More range is all I'm asking.

There's over 10 releases aimed at serious players.
For really serious players there's ITG. Don't you think the kids deserve something they can handle? |

Re: DDR Mario (lol)
Also, I see a alot of beginners, especially kids, fail even at beginner, so i guess that's another reason why they released mario mix. For little kids and beginners to enjoy themselves pass easier songs with their favourite and #1 video game mascot: Mario.

I believe super-hard is in the 7-9 foot range, but whatever.
There's no stopping you guys from ranting on about how it sucks because it's so easy and you triple mega high-five AAA'ed all the songs with one foot. |
