Default Screencut Master Race

I recently stumbled across this amazing thing called "screencut" that made my "skill" jump twenty levels. I really really love this but have run into a bump. Any seasoned veterans out there know a good speedmod or judgement to combine with screencut? I seem to be getting a lot more Averages and Boos and less Amazings with this.

edit: Speedmod is set at 1.

With your current settings(based on that replay) you should use a judge offset of 1. You can also move the screencut anywhere if you didn't know.

Man, this setup...

Change your judge offset to something around 0.75 to 1.5 or so. Maybe 1. In the song results screen you can right-click on the "Speed:" line to check what the game thinks your judge offset should be set to and maybe find something that feels more precise to you (ignore the +/- part, the first number is the offset).

Bah, that worked! Thanks y'all, don't know why I like this setup...it's just MUCH easier to read for me, back to <10 avg norm.

Thanks again >.<

Hakulyte uses 1.15x with screencut. So all is good in the hood.

(Sorry to thread-jack)

So would the advantage to screen-cutting over increasing speed mod just be FPS/Offset based? I usually play 2.6x-2.8x fullscreen, at 30fps it wasn't the smoothest but still certainly playable.(Much better at 60 now) Would I be better off cranking down my speed and using screencut or is it just a preference thing?

It's more of a preference thing. I use 3.6 - 3.7. I can't read crap on screencut.

they're mostly interchangeable

I swap between a big screencut + low speed vs. small screencut + high speed every few months

right now I'm using 2x on this screen cut, which is my low speed one
