TWG Idea(s)
I just wanted to put some of my ideas out there before I forget them in the next few hours since I have a blistering headache.
Game 1: 6-8 players 1 risky wolf * risky human Each night, a human has a chance to press a button. 50/50 chance of either hurting the wolf [1 dmg] or killing himself. Each night, the wolf has a chance to press a button. 40/60 chance of succeeding/failing with 2 dmg being healed and 1.5 dmg being dealt. Wolf has 4.5 lives. Possibility of including an item which guards someone else (cannot guard self) but is not protected from wolving. Game 2: Actually I forgot already but I remember it had to do with 3 lonewolves and 2 players that are able to swap roles with any other player. fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu- Game 3 cancelled [/quote] Comments? Questions?

Re: TWG Idea(s)
First one:
You're making it sound like a lynch deals a specific amount of damage. If the wolf were to be at full health when he got lynched by the players, would it be enough to kill him? |

Re: TWG Idea(s)
I was thinking about that, and I didn't know whether or not the lynch would be an insta-kill, more than likely not or else it'd be a boring game. Any ideas on something to do during the day-time rather than just a round of voting?

Re: TWG Idea(s)
If lynch doesn't instakill, then the humans will know who the wolf is cause no one will die at the end of the day.
As for 2 and 3, they both seem pretty cool. The third one especially. I have a mystery game that has a few elements from both already made up, but I don't want to give much away. |

Re: TWG Idea(s)
Also another question about game one...does the ability to press the button shift from player to player, or does one person always press the button? I kinda like the first idea better.

Re: TWG Idea(s)
I have been working on a game recently, but I was kind of waiting to present it to jTWG. :/
Anyway, here it is and I would love some feedback. jTWG: American Gladiators 16 players The Gladiators: Wolf – MW Does things a MW would do. Crush – Normal Wolf Justice – Brutal Seer 50% chance of seering on any night or gaining brutality for the next day. The Contenders: Sandra - Seer Bobert – Guard Clyde – Mason – Knows who the Seer is. Humans: 8 Humans MYSTERY: 2 Mystery Roles! |

Re: TWG Idea(s)
@Clarinet: you need another wolf, unless one of the mystery roles is (don't answer that).

Re: TWG Idea(s)
Well you should sign up for the next game then.
Also, the game looks balanced, but it could be a really short game if Light is killed Day 1. |

Re: TWG Idea(s)
That clause was a maybe anyways. I could go straight to hosting this if people want.

Re: TWG Idea(s)
You should probably get a few games under your belt before hosting. Clarinet, balance is key here. Take a closer look. Lito's game looks like fun, I'd enjoy playing it.
And what the ****, I totally wanted to be the one to do Death Note. |

Re: TWG Idea(s)
Or if you want, maybe you could ask someone to host it for you and you could play in the game. Just a thought.

Re: TWG Idea(s)
I don't think I completely understand the Death Note game. >_>
So are you saying that the wolfsbane and the seer will know who each other are at the beginning of the game? And that the seer can't die at all until the bane does, or simply that he can't be lynched. And would Light begin to seer red after one of the wolves are killed? EDIT: Still thinking about that first one, Lito. What hoochan and atz said is mostly right, but the ability to heal himself up to two dots of damage throws an interesting twist into it. I'm guessing you were thinking along the lines of a lynch would be three dots of damage, then he'd heal two (if successful), bringing him back to 3.5 from 1.5, so the only way to kill him that phase would be to deal him the extra 1.0 from the button, right? How about making the button a public thing with a slightly higher rate of killing the person that pushes it? That would leave out the possibility of the humans being completely screwed if the blue got accidentally lynched/wolfed. Last edited by Temote; 01-12-2009 at 12:46 AM.. |

Re: TWG Idea(s)
Woah, pichu. Your game is wayyyyy too unbalanced.
Not only can the humans win as soon as one wolf (the MW) is lynched, there is also a wolfsbane that will know they are the wolfsbane as soon as the game starts. It seems to me that its almost impossible for wolves to win, unless I'm somehow misunderstanding something. Last edited by travman301; 01-12-2009 at 09:36 AM.. |

Re: TWG Idea(s)
I don't think he's a wolfsbane so much as a powered up guardian, Trav.
Still reading through it, and it's looking pretty interesting. The rule that the seer isn't allowed to relay his readings to the thread makes for an interesting twist, since the idea of the game is to be keeping the bane from being killed so the seer can keep seering. EDIT: That probably wasn't as clear as I wanted it to be. Seer wouldn't come out because they wouldn't be able to reveal their findings until the bane is dead anyways, at which point they would be immediately vulnerable to wolvings. The fact that the only two blues in the game know who the other one is makes counterclaims pretty much impossible, too. Last edited by Temote; 01-12-2009 at 09:59 AM.. Reason: Messing with what I said a bit to make it more understandable. |
