Need Help with Dell Laptop
My sister got a Dell Laptop for Christmas, and we have a Netgear Router that we wirelessly connect to. We have the Dell wireless card set up and everything, and we have all the network configuring done. It says Connected to my desktop computer (the one directly connected to the router) and it says excellent connection to it. When I try to go on the internet though, it comes up with page cannot be displayed. It says the LAN Connection is on, and I can't figure out what is wrong. Please help.

No, deposition, it is a wireless connection. And to everyone saying don't use Dell, a Dell is what my sister got. I didn't pick it, I just need help with fixing her comp.

After it's all set up, restart everything. Restarting everything solves everything....sometimes.

It might be the laptops inner parts... or it has a virus from it that somebody put on before you got it?

I may be able to help,
Can you restate the problem in more detail, and tell me what you have tried? |

Ok, We just bought the laptop for my sister. We installed the Wireless card and got it running. It says the connection is excellent, and says Connected to Nagy_Home which is my desktop computer directly connected to my router. However, the internet does not work on it.

Everyone, I fixed the computer. The encryption code I had entered was wrong. Thanks for all your suggestions and attempts to help me out, lock please.
