Re: 9th Official Tournament -- Round 6
Conveniently gets put in a lower division than he should (going off past scores) and still cheats. A cheat is a cheat and when it's someone that others assume would make better decisions, it makes it 10x stupider. When ninjacide botted in D2 or faitle had an alt in a lower division nobody cared about why, just the fact they're idiots and cheated.
Life troubles or not, you're an idiot. That been said though, like danceguy said the consequences should be exactly the same as any other but i suspect you won't be trusted with many events in the future lol |

Re: 9th Official Tournament -- Round 6
Cheating is bad, yes. But, nothing was really at stake here. I'm sure the very few people affected by it this round (Mollo and rCaliber?) are all that bummed. Access to a stepfile was at stake here. Let's not go too nuts with this.

Of course I don't condone what he did but at least give him credit for coming clean to everyone and apologizing. Most wouldn't do that and he didn't have to. He could have just been removed and gave some excuse.

Re: 9th Official Tournament -- Round 6
First off: I would really like to thank the difficulty consultants for bringing this to my attention -- YoshL, the intention is not to hurt or bring harm to you as a user, but moreso to improve the experience for others in regards of the tournament, and I hope you understand that. There are no exceptions to this rule, and I act off of what I see and what can be proven, and there is a reason why there are actually a few players that have been disqualified throughout this tournament.
In the process of looking through YoshL's replays to get as much evidence as possible last night, I will say that YoshL is telling the truth about his previous runs being legitimate. I looked at them all, and while HAELEQUIN was somewhat deceiving initially, I learned myself that 120 FPS can produce some interesting frame sequences for accurate players (I did a test run to see if I could somewhat mimic YoshL's results for the song and got nearly the same results that were a red flag in the first place). With that being said, YoshL will be removed from the tournament, and prizes will obviously be removed. vRofl will not be handed down to 9th place because YoshL's HAELEQUIN run was a legitimate run, and he would have made it to this round to begin with. Furthermore, discussion in regards YoshL's cheating will conclude here. Additional bantering/discussion will be deleted and continual disregard will lead to forum infraction and an eventual ban. I will handle this situation with FFR staff to figure out the appropriate resolution. I think we can all agree at the very least that YoshL is a user that overall has had a positive impact in the community. Anyone who disagrees with that certainly doesn't know what he has and hasn't contributed for FFR. People make mistakes, and what's done is completely done. This isn't any sort of reprieve for what has been done, but it is something that should be noted as grossly abnormal for said player. It's hard to unsee what's been seen, but please -- just move on. |

Re: 9th Official Tournament -- Round 6
pretty sure he would have been exposed by somebody else who can look at frame data anyways. it's not like he had a choice in the matter because he probably knew this.

You're missing the point, AJ's in the same house as me I'm not retarded. He didn't have to come in here and say anything. He could have had AJ remove him and just said I'm dropping out.
