FFR Skill.
I was just thinking about this..
If I'm only 13 now and I'm really good, in a few weeks of practicing I could probally FC Max Forever..Then imagine how good I'll be in a couple of years :O. I'd love to go into the future and see what I'd be like on FFR and SM lol. Although....I'm having trouble on RightUpRightUpRightUp Trills. (Are they called trills?) I can do LeftDownLeftDownLeftDown But because I'm left handed it's really really hard for me..Does anyone know a way I can improve on this? :X...That and Jump Streams. I find it hard to read. And when the arrows are in a stream and you think it's going to go LeftUpDownRight but it goes LeftUpDownLEFT&RIGHT jump and then continues to the pattern it was already on. It confuzzles my eyes, ninja steps rofl. I've thought about making a stepfile for sm with just RightUpEightUpRightUp for about 3 minutes to improve =O. Thanks..

I think in a couple of years you will get bored of FFR and find something better to do with your time. Look at Shashakiro and Scottish for example.

Shashakiro still plays FFR, he just has a crudload of things going on.
You wouldn't know, as you've been a member for no time at all. Fail. Scottish is on a break right now, he'll be back, they ALWAYS come back.

Re: FFR Skill.
I'm pretty sure they are getting bored of FFR, that's why they are taking a break. I may not have been a member for a long time, but I know from experience. Runescape -- people think they will play it forever, in a couple of years, they move on.

Re: FFR Skill.
Also, switch to two hands, preferably spread. the reason for this is that no one has ever reached the godly skill level on FFR which you speak of by playing with one hand and that spread is overall the style with the most potential in hard songs. practice, practice, and practice, and you will become one of the best players for sure. with some SM practice to shave off all those unnecessary goods, and some patience, it would only take a few years to become godly at this game. pretty much, you are going to get a lot of "you have no life" comments if you practice for 5 years or so and never become bored. but by the time you hit college at 18, you'd be the best in the world. lawl.

Re: FFR Skill.
age really isnt that important honestly. what really matters is how long you play cuz someone who is 20 learns just as fast as someone whos 13. i mean if you wana play sm and ffr until 80 then it might be important. just practice and dont use age as an excuse

You know why I call it BS? Because by the time you're 20 your eyes will be able to read patterns faster even if you haven't played SM or FFR/DDR. So basically someone who is 20 will become better faster than someone who is 13. Unless the 13 year old is a nerd who plays FFR for 23 hours a day and watched videos of DDR when he isn't playing it (coughlikemecough) :O

Re: FFR Skill.
i think yuruka has some kind of a point, but samtorx and kiro are basically correct.
also, age might matter in a sense that someone in middle school has more years left to play FFR before worrying about a full-time job/relationship/college/etc., whereas a 20 year old will soon have to worry about those things. |

Re: FFR Skill.
What the hell does age have to do with playing FFR?
If your fingers move quickly and your mind reads the patterns, then you'll be good. You have to practice; simple as that. |

AGE DOESN'T MATTER!!!
Examples: Bahamut, Skybeam, and meh! P.S. FFR will not improve your skill dude but SM will ... ask anyone else if you don't believe me. |

Re: FFR Skill.
Actually I got better on FFR alone. It wasn't until I wanted to get that final step to being even better that I switched to SM.

I haven't stopped playing FFR any more than usual, it's just that I have incredibly limited access to my mom's computer which is the only one that's decent for playing

Re: FFR Skill.
Age does matter.
The younger you are, the faster you learn new things. I thought that was common knowledge... |
