Re: Psychopath Thread
Level 30 has the first real 'trick', and it's a difficult one to start off with, because it plays on what you've just recently learnt. You need to stop yourself from blindly doing something even though that's the way you were taught to do it earlier - because there's a faster way to get through that structure in this particular scenario. gl

Re: Psychopath Thread
Psychopath 1's soundtrack is the best thing about it.
Psychopath 2 has a lot of cool puzzles however. It took me a while to get over the hole concept of it though.

Re: Psychopath Thread
Oh geez, level 66 now. This is the level that had me stuck for weeks back when I first played it, hoping it won't take that long this time

Re: Psychopath Thread
Dang 66 was tough. Was really, really stuck for awhile. Figuring out how to deal with the center is what really got me.
67 wtf, forgive me v2? Haha after forgive me this one was cake. |

On the same note, Amelio's original path for 66 was like 12 steps behind. I ended up finding the optimal path in 2 tries and didn't even want to include the level, but the rest of the testers, including Amelio, struggled with it so we added it in. Difficulty. It can be really arbitrary (I was 2 steps off on whiteboy for a long time during testing, as was Amelio. It was Dragon iirc that found the optimal path). PS after reading through the old thread, you struggled hardcore with 67 last time lol

Re: Psychopath Thread
I love it when my intuition is wrong.
Edit: way to over think "Small Intestines" Edit 2: AHHHH lvl 32 messed with my intuition so hard. That was funny. Edit 3: LEVEL 35 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....that is all. Edit 4: Temporarily stuck on 36. I'm 4 moves too many. I'll continue again when I really feel like thinking logically rather than intuitively xD Last edited by awein999; 10-12-2012 at 09:30 AM.. |

But yeah, I did just open up the editor and move some blocks around in order to make it longer while still having some puzzle elements to it. I never intended it to end up in the game but alas. I ended up making a level with over 1000 steps, but it was painfully simple with no puzzle elements. Beyond 600 steps or so, I don't think it's really possible to introduce any cognitive elements.
