sigh.... another pad pack.
Too bad I can't step pad... at all. And yes, I can step better now than the in-game "things".

EDIT: I was idle on this page so long, the last message I saw was from MixMasterLar, so this is in response to him, I'm too lazy to quote. xD

What about trance? I have a trance pad song that I haven't released anywhere. Can I submit that?

Here's some of the problems I found. Don't take them the wrong way, I'm a nice person--and want songs like this in the pack.

F
__

Expert:

Cons (These are some of the major problems.):

Bar 5--double step into 16th pattern (spin-like?)
Bar 10--double step into 16th pattern
Bar 15--double step into 16th pattern (spin-like?)
Bar 18--double step into 16th pattern
Bars 22-24--double steps end of 16th pattern
Bar 26--Jump on lead beat of pattern
Bar 56-58 [this is a biggie]--Jumps at the beginning of gallops (OUCH!)
Bar 63--double step into 16th pattern
Bar 75--double step in 16th pattern

Mini-cons (these are more things to consider, and you can ignore these if you choose to.)

Bar 48--I like that you are using hands to emphasize those beats, but you used regular jumps to emphasize the same beat. You should use either or.

Bars 48-52 look a bit plain. Might wanna add some stuff in there.

Bars 70-73--This run is plain, try to variate the step pattern because it is one of the last runs in the song.

Pros: When you fix up the chart there are certain parts that you should leave alone.

Bars 11-12 and 19-20, nice runs leading into the next section.
Bars 30-37 are fine, but shortening the freezes will make it look even nicer.
Bar 36 has a fragmented pattern that can be a real nice one if you simply add a down arrow 1/2 a beat before bar 37 (Beat 143.500).

Everything in between these problem sections you have actually look really nicely stepped.

All difficulties seem to be having the same problems. Play your chart using your index fingers only, so that it simulates how the pattern would be if you were actually playing on a dance pad.

If you can fix this chart up, and there's a lot to fix, I won't hesitate to accept this chart. It's a great song, and deserves to be in the pack, but that is totally up to you. Keep trying.

Thanks for the advice. You mean the Oni chart, right? I'll fix and resend sometime this week.

That's the spirit. Get working.

And yes, I was talking about the Oni chart, but generally, the lower difficulties have problems similar to those in the Oni chart, so take a look at those too.

And my Szamar Madar file should be all sent now. Theoretically it shouldn't suck, but you never really know.

My next obstacle if anything will be finding the time (much of it taken up by a sudden unexpected wave of school work) to think up another file, simply because I'd like to do more than one. And then finding a song I'd want to step, which is a teeny bit more difficult now that DDR songs have been ruled out. Aw well, I'll think of something hopefully.

Ok, I'll take a look at it as soon as I get home. ITG remakes are ok in this case. A good strategy is to look for uncommonly stepped songs that you know, and a good spot to do that is to search the database here. I hope that you stepped Szamar Madar well, cause I have a chart for that too actually waiting, but I'm giving you priority for it.
