Wow control shaman is pretty damn strong, blatantly copied the deck to finish some dailies. 5-0 so far. (all very convincing wins with tons of options open)

Stolen deck

Also gave me an excuse to craft an earth elemental, it was bugging me I didn't have one and one of my friends pulled a golden one =p

Everything has strengths and weaknesses, so play what you enjoy. Until you get a better understanding of how certain cards/ card types interact and what the strengths and weaknesses of each class is.

Take notes, playing priest and find that 4/x is really annoying to get rid of? Start valuing those higher. Using execute and finding you run out of cards to 2-1 trades? Try something different. The more you play a class, the better you will do against that class as every other class, because you will have a better understanding of when to make the plays. Learn traps, try to predict what your opponent has by how they are playing. Know what removal options are possible at turn X depending on your opponents class, and try to play optimally around that.

That being said, Shaman/Warrior/Warlock need some knowledge to be really effective (Self-damage/extra cost mechanics). Priest/Paladin/Mage are pretty easy to pick up on. Druid/Rogue/Hunter aren't too bad, but not quite as easy as the previous 3. (More card choice/play decisions that are less obvious)

there is no single deck that wins over all atm

agro warlock > slowplay druid & paladin
agro/control mage > rogue & warlock
control priest > rushdown rogue
control shaman > agro warlock
slowplay druid & paladin = druid/pally > rushdown rogue & hunter

etc

Just a little confused. So say I have 3x Mad Bombers. If I place 2 of them in a mage deck are they still able to be placed in another deck? Know what Im sayin? :P

tl;dr when it says I have 3 of a certain card I can disenchant one of those?

You can place the same card in multiple decks. Limited by 2.

When you have 3 of the same, you should disenchant one. It even suggests you to do so automatically. Some cards are soulbound from being unlocked with levels, you can't disenchant them. That's about it.

In arena, you could get 10 mad bombers and use them all in the same deck, that's the exception.

Back and fourth in 16. I usually get fucked over due to not getting a SW: pain or death or they have a 4/X lol Still this deck is pretty damn good

Well that deck is extremely bad, so yeah, you're not going to get much farther than 16 haha. I ran a similar priest deck when I first started and it's not bad for basics but once you can start crafting I would ditch it.

I went like 25->12 without losing even a single game using a warlock deck that has no legendaries in it, so I would invest in some cheap but effective neutrals ASAP to increase the strength of your deck.

Here are some ASAP swaps:

Chillwind Yeti x2 -> 2x Dark Iron Dwarf, extremely superior to this card in every way, no reason whatsoever to play it if you have DID available.

Gnomish Inventor x2 -> This is a bad card but card draw is going to be a really bad problem in a priest deck like this. Something like Acolyte of pain is vastly superior though.

Ironfur Grizzly x2 -> 2x Harvest Golem (one of the best cards in the game)

Northshire Cleric x2 - fine

Novice Engineer x2 - good card

River Crocolisk x2 - should be swapped for something like fairy dragon

Sen'jin Shieldmasta x2 - This card is actually an extremely good basic neutral, it just happens to suck really bad when you can play a Defender of Argus instead, so 2x those. However, I would not consider this swap a priority given the strength of tazdingo. However, get one of them when you can.

Shattered Sun Cleric x2 - This is still an extremely good 3 drop

Rest is way too many spells IMO. This is just asking to get face rolled by anything aggressive if you don't draw holy nova. Should swap in some more cheap 1 drops like argent squire and maybe loot horders if you don't wanna run acolytes so you can start drawing cards fast.

Something needs to be nixed here for Argent commander x2 as well. Card is still god tier and there's nothing in this deck that currently has this role covered.

Mind Control x2 - You don't need two.
Power Word: Shield x2
Shadow Word: Death x2
Shadow Word: Pain x2

However, honestly it's easier to make cheap rogue decks, or even warlock or mage (assuming you can get at least 1 pyro) than priest though. Priest isn't in a great spot right now. Next to paladin/druid, probably one of the most expensive decks to try and beef up.

If you want to rank up pick one:

Warrior OTK: Stall/removal/draw to low health, Warsong Commander into double Molten Giant and a bounce (Youthful Brewmaster) for 24 damage.

Warlock Rush: derp
Rogue Rush: People wanted flavor I guess.

Druid: Pretty much the only thing that stands up to rush, has ramp and good class taunts/removal.


That is the meta, boring as hell.

Of those 4, warlock and rogue rush are by far the cheapest.

I run more of a board control lock using mostly god tier neutrals and it's extremely effective. The only warlock cards I run are void, both imps and soulfire+mortal coil. Nothing else is really needed in this deck.

2 MC is overkill, better to run 1 and 1 SWD to limit how often you end up with a dead card. Amani Berserker doesn't synergise well with priests heal because it cancels the enrage. I would probably go with an Acidic Swamp Ooze for warriors/rogues and just a good 3/2 body.

Cards worth looking into: Argent Commander, Injured Blade Master, Gurubashi Berserker. It looks like you need a bit more creature power.

Well, I ends a lot of game with amani berserker + Power Word: Shield tbh to compense the 3 hp limit of the berserker for the 2 hp heal. It's the same stats as a crocolisk with a potential buff so whatever.

Well, your Iron Dwarfs aren't working because this deck is slow and will lack board control frequently, and can't really compensate end game. Your strong cards are all mid range mana wise with 0 endgame unless you steal your opponents minions, and even then hoping to be able to use 2 mind controls is insanely optimistic.

You need to kinda go one way or the other; early game (basically murlock decks), mid game (board control decks, mage decks, rogue combos and the like), end game (many, varies). Right now you're none of them. You have some random cards that will win sometimes when you RNG well but you get run over easily by any popular decks that make it to higher ranks.

What I mean by slow that is you have no presence on the board early most of the time. When you don't have northshire you're going to be praying you can drop a naked berzerker, which will get removed by anyone good. So basically you have nothing till SSC which you won't be able to use often.

You need more creatures. Cheap 1-2 drops will fix a lot of your problems for cheap. I would not focus on endgame as you probably lack many expensive cards you would need to craft.

This is a problem with priest in general though. Priest has no good early game minions really, so you rely on neutrals and it just doesn't work because priest board control is massively outclassed by rogue and warlock. So priests are pretty much forced to go endgame, and GL with that. You need like all legendaries. lol. priest was already bad IMO prior to mindcontrol nerf but now it's just like what the fuck awful unless your deck is STACKED.
