Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
I must have played the new version at least 15 times in a row before I got that elusive FC due to the really weird note placement. (Hakulyte once complained about it being the type of song I could beat him at when we played in MP once.) But since I remember pretty well how much I was gnashing my teeth over being unable to combo one part of Domani around the 150 combo point back when I was less skilled, whereas I was able to bang out the Synes FC in a single night of whoring, maybe Synes should be moved down another notch. It's still a 3.5, I'm just saying to move it below Domani.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
Requesting Max Forever be moved up...it's harder than CIA Rave IMO, at the very least.
Might be only 150 BPM (basically), but it's insanely long (stamina draining for some) and has long trills. Doesn't feel like a 4 at all, either...much more like a 4.5.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
I've always thought Caprice should be a 6, although I stopped arguing it long ago. For me, Max Forever is way easier than CIA Rave; I even find it easier to FC, even though it's very much longer. Although, I'm not affected by the stamina factor on it, and CIA Rave is a lot easier for indexers than it is for me, also. Also, add the credit requirement of Summer as 25,000.
Also, I came up with another definition for 6/6: Songs that barely anyone has FC'd. From looking at the high score lists, it appears to me that all of the now 6/6 songs are the songs that have 10 or less FCs, and the rest of the songs have more. This discounts stuff like chrono, though.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
Meh. If anything, do what was done with Caprice: just stick it in the higher difficulty without changing the order.
really feels more like a 4.5 than a 4, that's all.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
I'm sorry, I wasn't very clear. I agree with what was done with Caprice. I'm not sure what to do with max forever though, I think it's fine where it is, but I admit it may be different for other people.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
Length is the only factor that makes MAX Forever harder than CIA for me.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
I'd agree with moving max forever to a 4.5. Mainy because of the long trills that CIA doesn't really have. Cia's faster, but its constant stream over the whole song without many breaks. Max has a bunch of breaks which makes it slightly (not much) harder to pa. Lengths already been disussed.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
You still need to add Summer -Speedy Mix- to the Credit requirement of Secret Songs requiring 25,000.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
I agree Max Forever is underrated. For people like me, we get tired halfway in then do sucky the rest of the song. Therefore, it should be a low challenging, like Playdoh or Famouz, it deserves a 62 rating.

added Get Ready to 3.5.
IMO it's between Platypus and Domani though. and yea like I said if you consider length factor is more important, Max Forever would be 4.5. Last edited by jimerax; 01-22-2007 at 07:57 AM.. |

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
If I have one gripe with this list, it's that I think TGWP4 should be around Tribal and Evil Apporaches in difficulty. I never understood why people think it is that easy; it took me tons more tries to FC than Evil Approches, and it's harder to PA too.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
CIA isn't really that hard. You don't have jacks, and it's really just a big, long stream of 16th steps with a break of some 8th jumpstream in the middle. At most it's Very Difficult, IMO.
Delirium is a little harder, though, because the BG screws with your mind a little. It also has some 16th jumpstream, quirky jumps, and some 8th jumpwhoring. It deserves to be a high Challenging. TGWP4 is harder, since you have some sub-16th stream, major 8th jumpwhoring, and it also kinda lulls you in with a simpler beginning. It deserves a Very Challenging rating, at least. Chrono Trigger: it's really a Very Difficult at most. It's not hard to pass, and it's short. You know you're guaranteed at least 8 misses, so you can relax a little. Also, the jacks aren't too grinding to hit. Secret Zombie Room is Easy at best. Those 8ths are cake to FC, and I believe around 500+ players have it AAA'd. Kick It is Tricky, at most, though. None of the 16ths really throw you off too much, and the 8th stream is pretty easy, too. Tetris Remix should just be Difficult. The jumpstream is predictable and easy. The 16ths are fairly easy, as well. Revolutionary Etude has the right rating. That can't possibly be AAA'd, though; what's wrong with you??? JK... Also, do you really think Crowdpleaser is FC'able? Or Grand Gallop? Or OMW? Coat Czech is Very Difficult; it's not too hard to get the jacks, since they're kind of, in essence, 8th-12th notes through the BPM. Also, it's not too chaotic, since the sub-16ths are predictable: nearly always in staircases. None of the jumps are too hard either... And that's my review: feel free to give feedback. |
