FFR vets: how did you come across this site?
I'm not sure if this thread has been created in the past, but I'm curious as to how people discovered FFR, the vets in particular. Some of you probably found it right when it was created. Anyway, here's my "story", if you will:
I was really into DDR about three years ago, and decided that I wanted to play it on the computer, so I tried googling various forms of "DDR for computer" or "DDR online". Eventually I came across a game called HackHackRevolution, an incredibly laggy FFR counterpart consisting of one song. On the bottom I saw a link to FFR saying "if you like this, try FFR!" So there we have it, a quite touching story, I know. How did everybody else find out about FFR?

Re: FFR vets: how did you come across this site?
I lurked on A0.com for quite a while and one day i went to type it in the address bar and this popped up. I was thinking to myself, "What's ffr?" So i explored and eventually played the game, created an account, and ended up where I am now.

I mentioned Stepmania to a friend, he mentioned he had a friend who played FFR, and there we go.

Re: FFR vets: how did you come across this site?
I was in Software Technology II class, and I saw someone playing FFR. He asked me if I wanted to play, and I did. He put me on 4f73r m3. After a little while, he asked me if I'd played before, and I said no. Then he asked if I'd played something like it before, and I still said no. After I got past the first 300 notes or so, I failed. I liked it enough that I joined, and here I am now.

I was a member of KoL (google it), a rising online RPG. One member put up a contest in which others would make an FFR account and challenge him. The winners would get game currency.
Hmm...that's pretty much it... |

Searched DDR on Wikipedia and I found a page for FFR and then used a link.

Sitting in Arizona wishing I was playing DDR, went up onto the internet, searched for "Online DDR", and ended up finding this somewhere along the search. Funny, that was in December 2002.

Re: FFR vets: how did you come across this site?
My friend Lucas was at library one day playing this game. I tried it out, sucked horribly. then right after me my friends Vincent played, never played before, but played DDR. Then me and him set up accounts. then BAM! We are awsome at FFR now.

A friend recommended it to me, then I forgot about it. A couple months later I was bored and came back.
