btw, to justify my way of stepping:
1. Playability > Technicality
2. Consistency > PR
3. Expressive colours in guitar solos for mini climax > Technically correct colours

Feelings - 8/5/5/5 (5.75)
Let's go - 8/6/7/7 (7.00)

I spent comparatively little time on lets go. I don't understand. When I step something quickly like I did with lets go it's a ****in masterpiece, but when I take my time like with ffta, it's riddled with errors and inconsistencies.

Oh well. files++;

basically step da music, not da notes

though I'll argue that some songs using PR heavily increases the feel of the song.

True, but for instance there was a review (I think it was Niala) that said I should use minijacks in the beginning of Alchemy, though that would absolutely wreck the flow of the file.

Looks like TGWPv2 is going in. I understand the jack at the beginning is probably the hardest part but its also exactly what the music is. I don't know if I'm going to change that

Guess its time to step some real files once again and not submit dumps that I've had since 2006

Thanks for your time guys. I'll make those changes, and learn how to cut songs. DX

I got an average of 5.25. Carlo's lowest file is a 6.5 (that he said is accepted in above post). What's the lowest acceptance cutoff rating?

The average required to be accepted is 6.7 I believe. Don't quote me on that though.

Be aware that all of the ratings are slightly adjusted due to the formula that's used for final acceptance. Anything with a 6.4-6.5 made it in (after final adjustments).

I got some really helpful reviews, thank you for all the information!

I'm going to look through the file and fix issues to help improve my stepping ability, but I probably won't resubmit it due to how repetitive the actual song is. I will try something shorter and a lot less repetitive in song choice the next time around, then I will have less stupid looping patterns to worry about.

Concerning Alex's review:
Am I actually allowed to let people play test files I submit to FFR through the forums? I certainly would love to get some early notes on improving errors before I submit it to the actual batch. If not, would something like a YouTube video of the file in the SM editor still be a good enough representation?

Ok. So, it could 6.4 this time, and next time 7. I understand.

Of course you are allowed, it's a more efficient way of learning and getting some influence from different stepartists.
