uh gimp is perfectly fine, PS has benefits over gimp if you want to draw shit oops
PS has more benefits than gimp other than drawing stuff. Shows how much you really know the program lol.

Oh, and I'm sure the people who've paid me more than 40k for their profiles aren't stupid. But, I'll note that for the future. #tyOwhitenoise

Rofl the only benefit PS has is 16/32 bit image handling. Gimp has plugins for everything Photoshop has (cymk, etc). Gimp even handles most PS plugins. oops sorry photo editing grandmaster

And yes they are, they're fucking retarded. You can learn to make a decent profile in way less time than it would take to earn 40k credits without tourneys/etc

Lol what kind of logic is this? If a new player just discovered FFR, it would probably take way longer gaining skill and winning a tournament than learning a photo editing program. Think about the people who've been playing this game for years and haven't won anything from a tournament. O_O

And the most I've got for a profile is 800k. That's way more credits than you'll ever need to do anything on FFR or get winning first place in most tournaments that you play in; granted alone, that's enough to host your own tournament if you want to.

Thanks for insulting a vast majority of people who've admired my art. I kind of had respect for you in your music, but lol; sike

Exactly, you just restated my point. Without using tourneys, a newbie could easily learn to fluently use gimp or PS in the time it'd take them to earn 40k credits.

On top of that, credits are pointless rofl

Gimp < PS tho. Js.
It's much more cleaner on the effects.

PS is better but not in any ways that matter for FFR Profiles, especially for non-vets who have low file size limits.

True, but I'm sure you know you can just make a high quality jpeg which compresses the file size.

Maybe it's just me, but once I learned how to use PS, I didn't just make FFR profiles for fun. I've created other things as well so I can explore the program. In the long run, I found PS more useful in GIMP in many ways.

And lets be honest, you can just torrent PS like most other programs.

When someone uses PS I just ASSUME it's torrented. Who buys that crap retail? It's almost as disproportionately expensive as paying 40k for an FFR profile :P

Very bad comparison. Money has value. Credits don't. :/

Credits did at one point. So it's valid!

Money still has not lost its value so therefore it is a invalid comparison.

Besides, can you put a number down for 700$ worth of credits? Don't worry I'll wait.

Well, at the time of subscriptions, the average cost of people buying subs for credits was 175k for a year. If I remember that was 20 bucks? so it's 6,125,000 credits.

Hasty math: $700 on ~minimum wage is about 100 man hours of work. 6 million credits would be many many thousands more than that. I would estimate 40k credits to be no less than $250 worth of playing, significantly more if starting with zero skill.

I wasn't trying to disprove you. I was just responding to xNiX. People can pay whatever they want for profiles, some members DO have millions that they got in various ways and they're entitled to piss it away however they want because credits don't really do anything lol. A newbie is a different story. Great profiles aren't very hard to make and asking for something very very far outside their means is dickish.
