Re: TWG CV Postgame
To start off I just want to say I wasn't angry at anyone or anything anyone said this game, I was more pissed off that I basically got fucked because something was ambiguous to me.
This was the exact message I got: This was confusing to me because it doesn't state anywhere that this was what I got for betraying. It doesn't even have a different message title like some said it should have had. Now aside from the message even had I known this was a power, I think this is the most BS thing ever. It's essentially forcing the person to lie if they don't get a power because they're not allowed to speak about the gamble. I haven't been in previous games but I think that's pretty messed up. Then I thought it was kinda messed up that after already going through a 50/50 shot of getting a power that I then had a 1 in 18 chance of guessing the right person to actually get a power. I can't consider gambling for a power an actual power, that just doesn't make sense to me. Anyways, I hope that everyone can see where my confusion was in this. Sorry to be the newbie newb and all but I hope to play again soon and not end up fucking something silly like this up nest time. |

Re: TWG CV Postgame
Wolf powers were pretty terrible by the way.
I'm pretty sure we had between 8-10 powers this game, and not one of them helped us do anything.

Re: TWG CV Postgame
C9++ produces legendary plays such as the one where freakysnots was the SK and won or the one where manti got a perfect wolf read on dance in one post on day one and then dance died

Re: TWG CV Postgame
you can ONLY do that in C9++ where there's no known roles and wolves don't get a chance to talk first was the point
C9++ is the only balanced game where wolves are naked day 1 and you have a reasonable chance of hitting one due to the complete chaos and lack of coordination.

Re: TWG CV Postgame
yeah but try making a balanced game like that without the C9++ elements
C9++ is pretty balanced which is why everything unique about it owns

Re: TWG CV Postgame
Agreed, C9++ is a dope setup, perhaps the dopest of all setups

Re: TWG CV Postgame
aww cmon. yes that was rough, but no that should not take credit away from the winners of this game. that was one day. humans had 4 other days to get things right.

Re: TWG CV Postgame
i don't typically care about winners and losers overall i care about good plays and that's what i take away from each game. danceguy made most of the best plays this game.
afrobean was starting to look down the right avenues. it seemed just as he was getting back into his TWG groove we killed him. (i hope he sticks around as his human game is incredible and his wolf game has a creepily awesome self-awareness) what ultimately defines a twg game is how people act and think when they know the game is on the line, and those are the plays that make it interesting. the other interesting plays are humans pulling a wolf read out of the ether through sheer intuition and then rallying their fellow humans to act. the latter is always the more impressive play because it is so much harder to pull off successfully after D1, and so hard to actually have the correct insight on D1 itself. had danceguy not gotten fucked by the mistakes of his teammates, i was convinced this would have been brought to a 3-person endgame which i would not participate in. this is now the second wolf game in a row for me where i have been actively worried about the "danceguy problem" from somewhere around mid day 1.

Re: TWG CV Postgame
like i don't think i can actually articulate this in a way that gets the point across fully, but if there is any role you want danceguy to have as a human it is vanilla green. few people perform their best in that situation consistently.
