Im sure that Maio and Sonic will be equel in the events, Seth.

The Olympic games? Im didnt think Sega or Nintendo had anything to do with the Olympic comitee at all. nForcer might be right. Plus way would they chose the Olympics over somthing like Smash Brothers?

It just hit me.

SSBB will make money period. If this is real, they're hoping to have that kind of cash happen a 2rd time. Think about it, we all want Sonic in Smash but the chances are we were ALREADY going to buy the game.

Just a thought

Yor telling me. The best way is have them in SSBB--they both fight (lol)

They'll probably have it were you have to time button presses or you'll trip. This is, of course, IF it's real.

They might make it good, or they might make it suck like most of the Olympics games I've seen to date. If they include every sport, it might just work. If they only include the major sports, it'll be a waste of money.

Either way, I'm not very interested in it right now. Brawl is leagues ahead of this.

Just my thoughts exactly Squeek. The game might be on the Wii, but it is still an Olympic game. Expect the same mad-dash running, jumping, shot-put, and other normal events that are included in a Olympic game. I promise that after the 2nd or 3rd time playing through the game the novelty of shaking your Wii-mote and seeing Sonic and Mario run will have worn off.

Only hope for this is that it will bolster mad support for the completion of SSBB.

This is one contest where Mario can't beat Sonic. Olympics? Sonic can whoop him in any activity period.

Tisk tisk always trying to bring down the wii being novelty in every game related post.

Nobody is suggesting this game is going to be any good or anything people are just surprised because of the mind **** of sonic and mario being in a game together. if you saw rival companies helping each other out it's pretty much surprising in everyway.

I am amazed on how you can judge a game just by it's title being released jeez can i please travel in your time machine with you i'd love to know more about the future Mr oracle.

Consider the fact that in Mario Party games, every single character runs at the same speed. There is never a variance.

It's only in Kart, Tennis, Soccer, etc. that there is a difference and that's to offer variance and balance. Clearly they'd make them all the same speed or throw in a twist. Unfortunately, it's probably an official Olympics-sanctioned game, so it'll probably have to be accurate to the Olympics. That means no throwing banana peels in other lanes.

Hm. Interesting point. It DOES sound like it's gonna be really cool, but it'll probably wind up having a few original events as well. Squeek's right, it's likely that they'll throw in a twist or two.

Why are you tryng to start something? I speak the truth. If it is an official Olympic game, it will have the same events time after time. Seriously, do you want to keep going through the same motions with your Wii-mote every single time?

I didn't think so. Please read before you accuse me of attacking the Wii.

Squeek, knowing Ni9ntendo, they're not going to be "OH OFFICIAL OLYMPIC RULES LULZ." They're going to throw some Nintendo pizzazz it's way.

As opposed to your controls randomly changing every so often?
Do you sometimes wish oh damn pressing the A button all the time is so boring do i really want to keep pressing A all the time. Why can't it be the C button sometimes that would be much better.

I was mainly pointing out the fact that once again you tried to attack the control scheme and the novelty of it rather then pointing out some actual flaws but of course you couldn't do that because we don't know anything about it but the title yet.

In unleated news Sonic team isn't directing it and Miyamoto is helping means that it could maybe possibly be good.
