Re: Team Blue's 1st Tournament
I'll be sending out the bonus round winnings later today when I get back from class. Hopefully I can get that next event ready to go soon after.

Re: Team Blue's 1st Tournament
All the credits won from the bonus rounds have been sent out. Make sure to keep an eye on this thread for that next event. I'll post in the Team Blue thread when it starts in case people miss the post in this thread.

Re: Team Blue's 1st Tournament
Yeah, it is. It just wont start until there's a significant amount of free time to get some activities together. Kjw and I talk about it when we're both able to (nine hour time zone difference), but it's been a complicated process. My internet connection was crapping out again last week so that took away time from discussion. Kjw has mid-terms going on this week, and mine are coming up next week. All we can ask is for everyone to be patient while we get things together.

Re: Team Blue's 1st Tournament
Just giving you guys an update on the upcoming event.
Kjw and I have everything together for the most part. The reason it has been taking so long is because we've been trying to root out any possible complications that could arise in the activities we have planned. Then there's also the stuff I mentioned before with school and crap. Anyways, I'm getting everything put together and I'll try to get it up and running in the next day or two. (Or maybe even by tonight.) To give a short summary of the event, you'll have two Flash games and three FFR tasks. (There will be five files involved in those three FFR tasks.) We tried to find some unique Flash games for this. (That took awhile. xD) We also wanted to find FFR tasks that were more balanced and not something that the Master/Expert players would just dominate. So yeah, expect "anti-skill" stuff, but it should hopefully be pretty interesting since they'll mainly involve a bit of strategy. You'll be given all of the details about prizes, rules, placements, etc. when the event begins. I just hope that it will all be fun. When Funmonkey gave us the credits for this event, he didn't have much of a preference for how it was organized just as long as it was a bonus round of sorts. So yeah, kjw and I wanted to make it somewhat interesting by having multiple activities instead of just another single Flash game. The last thing I want to point out is that I may hold this event in its own thread on the Team Blue forum. I will put a notifcation in this thread and in the Team Blue thread here on FFR, but I'm just giving you a heads up in case I make that decision instead of having it in this thread. For those who haven't made an account on norse's site where the Team Blue forum is located, I suggest you do that soon. We'll be having future team events there, so I'm sure you wouldn't want to miss out on any of that. You'll find information on what to do when you make an account on norse's site towards the top of this post. That's everything for now. Thanks for your patience.

Re: Team Blue's 1st Tournament
Okay, I have the event ready to be posted. I'll be making a thread for it on the Team Blue forum. I will edit this post with the link when I have it posted. I will also be copying and pasting this post into the Team Blue thread on FFR.
If you haven't made an account for Norse's site yet, now's the time. You will have a week for this event, so don't complain if you lose time due to not having an account on Norse's site and having to wait for him to give you access to the private forum after making an account now. It won't take him long since he's constantly checking up on the site, but still be patient. You've had many chances to make an account if you haven't already, anyways. Again, this event is only for Team Blue members who joined the team before April 17th. Your join date is determined by when you first posted in the Team Blue thread on FFR asking to join Team Blue. Please make sure to check that you qualify before participating. Edit: The event thread has been posted. To view this thread, make sure that... 1) You're logged in to the site. 2) You've been given access to the Team Blue forum. http://norsesffr.info/index.php?opti...d=73&Itemid=56 Last edited by HammyMcSquirrel; 05-10-2009 at 09:52 PM.. |
