Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Round 7!
Jon, quit your bitching and just play the song. You made it this far, and I'm sure you'll be able to get better. Whoever said good scores would come to you just like that late in this thing? Unless you're samurai that is.

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Round 7!
Holy shit Stinger is such a stamina drainer.
Also question - was FFR down, or what's with the influx of unrecorded scores? o.o

An engine update caused the in-game log-in feature to stop working for some people.

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Round 7!
Honestly I'm surprised at the scores in D6, I was expecting sdg's or low teens

In any case, the file is really relentless and it tires me out. Not to mention, when you get bursts after bursts coming towards you, you sorta lose a sense of proper arrow-hitting. The bursts aren't really symmetrical and so it looks more chaotic. I get like 75 goods on this file with a lot of other junk. Oh yeah, and the last part of the song is especially weird in its burst patterns. Finally, don't forget that the best players are in D7. |

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Round 7!
We are just 11 days away from crowning our champions, 13 if there is a tie breaker each round. There are a lot of credit/token prizes being given out by our caring admins, and even a few user generated prizes thanks to funmonkey54, myself and maybe 1 or 2 others. Congrats to everyone that participated and to those that are still in the rankings. And everyone keep an eye out for the 9th official because I will be getting prizes for everyone up to 8th place possibly even to 16th. It won't be as extravagant as a t-shirt. But it will be something special for those that put their nerves through hell and proves they can hold their own against the best of their respective divisions.
Hopefully AJ doesn't yell at me for posting this but we'll see how it goes. 37 remain, but only 7 can be crowned champ. |

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Round 7!
stinger is hella hard to read iirc, and it's just fast in general ((( can't score well on it at all.
also why is the second half of lawn wake XI so hard to score on, I can't even BEGIN to understand some of those patterns. the rolls by the beginning don't really mess me up anymore but I dump goods on the burst that comes a little while after it :< |

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Round 7!
For me, the issue is not a failure of reading the song - it's extremely stamina draining. the portion between 1,000 - up to the short break is the toughest part for me by virtue of being continually relentless. there is no time to recharge and rethink. having said that, my score can and will be improved. (Hopefully). but not now, now the primary focus is school.
