Default Favre to retire at last?

http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2009/02/11/e...inally-retire/

Of course, there was the ugly split with the Packers after their loss to the Giants in the NFC championship game 2 years ago that went to overtime...I personally have my doubts about whether or not this is it for the living legend.

Discuss, pl0x.

I've read so much about this that it's gotten old and irritating to deal with, kind of like Favre. It really doesn't matter whether he retires or not, since he's probably not ready to take a team to the SB. He's played for years, won a Super Bowl, and set many records. It's time for it to come to an end.

I'm a Packers fan, and I like Favre, but his number was up last year. It's time for him to hang it up. It was a good run and all, don't get me wrong, but even Michael Jordan knew coming back again was a bad idea.

I think it would've worked had he played another year in GB, but he made a bad decision in retiring the first time, and GB's GM handled it very stupidly.

Favre's retiring isn't the only thing our GM has handled stupidly -.-

Another year in GB, he might have made it. I know for sure that Rodgers wasn't quite ready yet for the big show. He was great for 3 quarters a game, and then choked at the end. I think he might have played one good 4th quarter all season.

Da Bears.

Anyway, I do think he needs to retire. The older he gets, the slower his reflexes are, the weaker he gets, the more prone to injury he gets. The odds are not stacked in his favor.

In terms of retiring his jersey and making amends with him? It will happen. I mean, if Patrick Roy mended his relationship with the Canadiens so quickly, Favre can easily do the same as he certainly embodies the Packers as much as Roy did the Canadiens.
