Honestly, shut your ****ing mouth. Welding is an extremly good trade, and I can get paid 30-80 dollars an hour doing it.

Re: Dropping out of school..
I never commented one way or another on how good of a trade welding is. It was a joke. Try to relax.
Or no, even better, take it out on your teachers tomorrow. |

Re: Dropping out of school..
A high school drop-out with no experience/recognized talent will not survive in this economy.
Also, don't drop out, test out. You can get your diploma without completing high school if you pass. Talk to your counselor. Last edited by jewpinthethird; 10-14-2008 at 09:50 PM.. |

Re: Dropping out of school..
I can't believe you all are actually saying "there is no point to school". School is everything, you won't survive without a high school diploma. Do whatever you want after that, just don't drop out.
If all else fails go for your GED. |

Re: Dropping out of school..
School is useless, to me, and a lot of other people.
I don't see how doing essay's, reading books, learning about other religions, learning math problems/equations that I'll never use, and a few other things that I can't think of right now are going to help me in life, to have a career in welding, music or astronomy.

Re: Dropping out of school..
Just say if you WERE to drop out of high school, you might be able to get a GED when you are 19.
No guarantee though, but if you really find yourself unable to finish high school, getting a GED is an option.

Re: Dropping out of school..
you'd be surprised what a simple high school diploma can give you as far as advantages go. a full time job will get you nowhere without a simple education such as high school.
I hated high school. I was in the same situation as you. When I tried, i'd get high 90's but that was never the case because everything was boring as **** so i'd settle for simply passing. I'm in college now and it's actually what I want to do. It's much more interesting and you have more freedom. Last edited by kommisar[os]; 10-14-2008 at 10:13 PM.. |

Re: Dropping out of school..
Dude don't drop out. Even if you do talk back and don't care, it's just best for your future. It also would look better on a job to have highschool than nothing.

Re: Dropping out of school..
well I don't do work in school i basically sleep through it and then get A's and B's except physics it sucks. I don't see why you can trash talk your teachers when you could just be sleeping... go to school and sleep through class it's soo easy. Dropping out is not a good idea. You honestly can't be that sick of it... there is no way. All you have to do is go to school and you basically pass... wtf is wrong with you.
