Pump It Up - Pad Questions
Yo!
I just got the Pump It Up Exceed bundle in the mail today and am completely impressed. From the looks of it, PIU pads are limited in types and hard to come across on the net =d But the one it came bundled with is actually fairly decent so I'm not worried about it breaking yet. However I'm wondering though, it says in the manual not to play the game in socks because it can cause static electricity to build up and damage the pad. Any validity to this? Figured I'd ask here if anyone knew. |

I've never heard of that, although I guess it has some merit. If you're comfortable playing barefoot I'd just do that to be safe.

Re: Pump It Up - Pad Questions
I'd say socks. Sure it'll cause electricity, but everyone does it and there has never been a case of it yet. Of course if you're going a little crazier than any of the songs on there, it might do some damage but even on Dignity CZ or NM it won't cause a problem.

Re: Pump It Up - Pad Questions
I would assume it's better in the arcades :3
I've been looking around and I can't find an arcade near my house that has a Pump It Up Machine. It's why I ordered the PS2 version because I wanted to at least give it a try. Maybe I'll recheck the warnings on the DDR pads/game manuals. I play socks on those, and if that's the case then maybe I'll just screw it and go ahead with socks =d Last edited by DiGiCharat; 07-28-2007 at 12:27 AM.. Reason: Quick change |
