Its actually easier. Less screen visible = less notes on screen = easier to read.

huh maybe I'll try it...any other tips that can help me get better. I practice a lot which is helping but I still cant do speed to save my life...

1. Speeds mods whenever possible after you've gotten used to the game(start small, like 1.5X on really easy songs)
2. Practice songs you can just barely pass to increase skill, speed, yada yada...
3. Take breaks every so often
4. Check out the simfile page (If you haven't already). There's tons of songs there to play and download to SM

Just play like 4 hours a day and you will get alot better all around.
Or try practicing certain songs every day or so. Like maybe some jumpstream one day, and higher bpm songs the next. It helps me thats all i can really say.

cool...well ever since I started I've been playing from 2:20pm til whenever or until I go to bed, cuz I get out of school at 2:10pm...

is there a way I can make a song go really slow so I can get used to it or will it only go faster? how do I do it?

You can make songs go faster or slower with StepMania. It's a free download if you want to try it out. As for changing FFR song speeds, either become a subscriber or wait until the next version. =/

yeah I need to try practicing with two hands cuz I use one hand three fingers and it seems easier but I need to learn to do it in a variety so I can get better at doing it a bunch of ways instead of getting stuck doing it one way

A very small amount, and all top players are either spread/4 finger or index.

yeah thats what I thought. I figure that I can get better if I learn to play different ways instead of sticking to one particular way, but its just a thought
