That makes us two man. I really hope that the death count isn't as bad as is being predicted to be. Also praying that this doesn't get any worse than it is now. :/

Well I have my very large surfboard ready for any massive tsunamis that dare to think it can just stroll on through SD (if one ever does). I will wrap a very large rope around it and tame it.

I will then use it to destroy other countries I hate... meaning all.
Do you even know how a tsunami works? Tsunami's aren't simply "waves", they are basically temporary rises in sea level. Or in other words, an x foot tall wave that is several hundreds, or thousands of feet long. The tsunami just doesn't hit the coast and recede, it hits the coast and continues to surge several miles in land. Tsunamis are not surf-able.

I hope all of you people in Japan are okay. And to those in Hawaii who are getting hit, as well as those on the West Coast in danger of this.

I think things are pretty ok here on the islands of Hawaii, however I think the West side of my island is some damage. However, since we our so prone to tsunamis, we have a very awesome tsunami warning program in the state. Whenever there is a tsunami approaching, they sound off these very loud tsunami sirens that our placed throughout the state (however the upgraded ones didn't work since they were upgraded to "solar" and the sounded the sirens at 9pm.) So everyone in the state knew six hours in advance of the approaching tsunami.

As for me, me and my family packed the car at around 10 pm and drove upland until we were high enough to be out of the tsunami evacuation zone. We parked on some random hill. It's been a very tiring night/morning, since we stayed up and didn't go back home until around 6am. I don't think we have any good footage since the tsunami's struck at 3:00 on the most western island (Kauai) and 3:30 on the most eastern island (my island, the Big Island.)

I'll put up any updates if any come out. My prayers currently go to Japan and it's people, and I hope they can quickly recover from this horrible ordeal.

Current statement for unconfirmed missing people is 88,000 (apparently).

Also this is retarded...

"A large section of Kesennuma, a town of 70,000 people in Miyagi, burned furiously into the night with no apparent hope of being extinguished, public broadcaster NHK said."

Well, I don't think that the deaths of hundreds and the tens of thousands of people missing is something to laugh about is it?

Should I rephrase?

Code:
I don't think it's appropriate to joke around about a certain topic considering the topic being discussed is one where there are several hundred who are dead and some tens of thousands missing.

The only thing related to anything was the word "tsunami" I said not a bad thing about the victims and whatnot. And yes, I do feel for them.

Wait, why am I explaining anything to someone from TGB?

He's joking about the Tsunami part, not the deaths and missing people, calm your ass down.

As for here in cali, we got like a two foot wave as the remnants of the Tsunami, still my best prayers to those in danger, mother nature must've had her period today. :\

I'm just saying that this thread doesn't feel like the appropriate place to be cracking jokes. By the way, if you look at my sig, you'll notice that I got kicked out of TGB, which just signifies that I'm not those type of people. Plus, my tgb posts differ greatly from my non-tgb posts. Also, my cumulative tgb activity comes out to about less than 3 weeks, compared to my 2+ years in these forums.

Yes, I agree... however, what I posted was completely harmless and was not at all related to any one of the victims.

ps I don't want to get offtrack with the thread here, so I will just leave it at that.

Ok, good. Keep the bad banter out of the thread if you want to continue it, reuben and GSM.

Ok, I understand. I guess the fact that I haven't slept last night because of the tsunami this morning really has made me a little hot-tempered. I apologize for starting a argument that shouldn't have started in the first place.

As of right now, I just heard we are still under a tsunami advisory until Tuesday at 9 pm.

It's pretty much impossible for a nuclear plant to explode as far as I know.

Yeah that's exactly what caused this earthquake, atomic bombs dropped 70 years ago.
