Trouble with Skype - Help me?
I just downloaded/installed Skype to cam with my girlfriend. But, theres a problem. When I try to launch Skype, I get the windows error sound (DUHHNNN), but no error message. That's it. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling with the same result. This computer is running Windows XP SP3 on a Dell Optiplex GX520. Any ideas as to what could be wrong?
Thanks in advance

I don't know the answer to your question, but if you would like to go ahead and cam it up without Skype, I suggest you use tinychat.com

No clue on what the problem could be but have you tried installing an older version? That usually works when these sorta things happen on my end.

Re: Trouble with Skype - Help me?
It might be a sound driver conflict of some sort. I had a similar problem with Skype not too long ago. It would just randomly crash, even after I un/re-installed it. If you have any special drivers for speakers or microphones, try uninstalling them all, then and reinstalling them all if it's not too much of a problem.
