Default Of what value are credits to you?

For some people, like myself, I could care less about the in-game purchases that credits are meant for, but for others, credits are really important for unlocking the next song and whatnot.

I use credits as a bartering tool to get things I want, such as graphics, stepfiles, secks, whatever I want.

What value you do place on credits?

As long as I have enough credits to unlock all of the songs on FFR, I'm content. From there, I just collect them just to buy avatars, backgrounds, and save them for future purchased songs.

Personally, I think tournaments should be sufficient enough without credit prizes. I mean, you could do other stuff with tournaments.

Using credits to purchase songs and stuff, A-Okay.

Using credits as a payment to making some else a profile/avi/siggy. Your deal, that's fine with me.

But, the overall count of credits on this site is way too much. Credits are endless, and eventually will be overrun by credits. I personally think the credit system needs to be either revamped or taken away. That way everyone can play the same songs (unless tokens) and we wouldn't have a problem. But, there in lies another problem, all of us actually worked hard for those credits to have the songs we want. I understand that. So it's an inevitable battle there. But +1 to Velo's post.

EDIT: I personally value the credits for songs, that's really about it. And hosting tournaments with.

I don't see why credits need to be taken away, inflation is a natural economic process lol.
Just going to have to make things cost more to unlock/buy.

I use credits as actual money. Some people are just really stupid now 'a days.

But seriously we shoudn't get rid of credits. That's kind of like saying lets get rid of all the synthlight files. They've been around pretty much forever, and Even though there are a shit ton of credits throughout the site, I don't really see how/ and or why that's a problem.

There are Trillions and trillions of actual printed united states dollars, and as of now it isn't too big of problem yet, and im quite sure there aren't a trillion credits throughout the site yet so they should stay in my opinion.

But unlike the economy, only a certain amount of credits are able to be held in one account. If things keep inflating, theoretically that cap will eventually be hit.

Holy shit that's a lot.

Maybe just divide everyone's credits by like 4, and make them that much more valuable again.

Because with 816 Billion credits shits gonna hit the fan soon

PS: what is the credit cap amount?

That seems like a little much lol.

Maybe lower this number by a fraction, and remove all those excess credits. That would probably help some, or at least for some time.

And credits have 0 value. I don't know why people barter with them :/

This really does need to be taken into consideration with the amount of credits in the system. Maybe go through the accounts that haven't been used since a certain year and get rid of their credits? See how many you extract out of that :/ Although that'd probably be a very strenuous activity to finish depending on the resources available.

Raise the credit cap. Not even sure why the cap is what it is, pretty sure it could easily be bumped up to a 32bit signed number cap of 2.14 billion.

Though I do also kinda like the thought of dividing peoples credits.

I always thought unlocking things in a music (or fighting) game was worthless. I should be able to play whatever song I want out of the box.

This is why I didnt get along with Street Fighter 4.
